I was hearing about it on Z-100 and I watched it on youtube it was so not good and the had to cut out the simulated oral sex parts out for the west coast audience...

I didn't see it, but I keep thinking about Madonna rolling around on stage simulating an ****** and wondering if there isn't a double standard afoot. (And Madonna tongue kissing Britney, and Madonna doing pretty much anything.)
I mean, I really don't give a sh*t about him or his performance and I'm not going to get involved in some huge debate anywhere, but I feel like people are upset over stuff that women do all the time and the public finds 'entertaining.'
Personally, I like music that isn't nominated for any awards anyway so I don't pay attention to these shows.

I love music and being entertained but I dont want to see anyone boy/girl boy/boy girl/girl kissing each other, simulating oral sex or rolling around the stage! That to me is not entertaining and if I wanted to see that I could rent a porno! But thats why I dont watch those shows anyway!

I just watched it on Youtube and all I can say is UGH and YUCK...what a gross display of wasted talent. Way to bring a bad public figure to G&L community.

I understand what you are saying!
It is a huge double standard. The public has no problem with two women doing things and women being sexual in a performance. But you throw a gay man into the mix, the public isn't ready for it I don't think.
Yea, it's effed up that there is a standard but at the same time, that's kinda gross.

I totally agree with the double standard issue....with that being said, all I can say is why is this guy famous again??? I just don't get him and his style of singing.

Truthfully i dont have a problem with seeing any sexual contact normally...guy/guy, girl/girl, guy/girl...but i just thought the entire thing was tasteless and i just don't think he is that talented. His singing was terrible. The song was garbage and i just think he adds nothing to the music industry. There are so many wonderful artists that will never make it because because d bags like adam lambert do! ::Hopping off soap box::

Like I said, I didn't see it, and I don't watch AI, so I really don't have an informed opinion other than what I said - so you are probably right. And I KNOW you're right - TONS of great artists never get a chance while others do.
I hear ya!

I dont really care what he does on stage, i mean, chances are he just wanted to get in the news because his album came out today. so im sure hes really happy everyone is talking about him because of it buuuttt....
i do remember watching the grammys and the emmys and the amas with my mom as a little kid, with popcorn, and it was fun. now, it seems a little rated R... so that makes me sad. I'd be afraid to let my kids watch those shows now ** promises to stop acting like a grandma with the 'back in my day' lectures**

ITA with the 'R Rated' part and the whole thing with him probably wanting some kind of publicity.
I mean, does everyone remember the superbowl with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson and the 'wardrobe malfuction'? Totally a stunt and very tasteless!
It doesn't matter if it's same sex or opposite sex. Anything that is over the top sexually is gross.

Re: Did anyone see the Adam Lambert AMA Performance?
I think it was a bit 'busy'...like he was trying to get way too much into a 4 minute performance.
He was a little too all over the place-but I applaud him for not holding back. It's about time a guy was over-provacative!
