Did anyone take down their holiday decorations yet?

I'm working on it a little at a time-I've got every room decorated. I always feel like the house looks lame when everything comes down. January is boring. Maybe I'll put my Valentine stuff up early

Not yet.Maybe tomorrow.We took our decorations down and work and now the walls look naked.

It was on the agenda today, but I got too consumed deciding on pics for our album! Hopefully tomorrow!

All of my Christmas stuff is done and packed away. I now have to pack my entire house up for our big move on 1/25- to our new home. I love putting the stuff up, hate taking it down though.

All my stuff is down I always hate taking down the holiday decorations.
I dont have anything Valentines, excpet those stickers you put on glass doors.

been taking down everything slowing...now I just have to take down the tree and put it all away!!! LOL

i started yesterday, took all the ornaments off the tree, and all the cute Christmassey stuff around the house...

How does everyone store their ornaments ?

I wrap mine each in plastic bags and put them away that way. I also have no patience to save hallmark ornament boxes, do you guys save boxes?

I took my tree down the day after Christmas Day because it was so dry! most of the needles fell off. I still have my candles in the windows though! My DH loves them and lights them every night! Who knows when I'll be allowed to take them down!

We didn't put a tree up this year ... ... we were just to busy with the house and my finals!

Anna, I bought a Rubbermaid box that is compartmentalized specifically for tree ornaments. I wrapped each ornament in tissue before I put it away, and it worked well last year.
I save the boxes from any glass, crystal, or china things I buy or receive... I'm anal... Everything else goes in a Rubbermaid!

Our tree is finally down! It's always a little sad, but nice to have the extra room back.

Richsbride - Thanks! Many of my friends who got married over a year ago still have yet to finalize their albums. I figured I should get it out of the way now, rather than wait til later.
What really kills me more is the cost of enlargements - when we booked the photographer, we didn't factor in all these blow up shots - we have a few thrown in with the package, but not many. At this point, why cheap out now?! We've already gone this far, and at least this will be the last bit of money spent on the wedding

Teri, our album was done the Saturday when we got home from our HM, our photographer sets up the album layout & we went there & finalized it in one day & ordered our Thank yous(I'm so glad because I'm sure I'd still be deciding) the only think we did at home was parent albums & enlargements & yes I'm horrified by those costs! Rich said EXACTLY what you said though! At this point whats the difference!

We took down our tree yesterday and hubby was out today taking the lights down. I am in the process of putting all the ornaments in bubble wrap and into the rubber maid bins. This porcess will probably take me to Valentines Day to do. I hate cleaning up. Setting up was so much easier!!

We took everything down yesterday, yeah! I am usually sad but this year I wasn't, maybe because the holidays were too fast this year. Anna, we do save some of those Hallmark boxes, makes it soo easy to pack away but I am with you with it being a pain. We have all the ornaments to Rudolph and we put them back in the boxes EVERY year so they don't break!!
