Did anyones DH lose their ring

Im so upset. DH is not into wearing jewelry at all. He hates wearing it. He was trying hard to remember to wear it but forgot alot and it bothered him. NOW its lost. He lost it while we were away Im so upset and so is he. I liked when we out together and he had it on. I thought it was cute

Don't worry about it.
The ring may turn up. If not, it can be replaced, although the sentimentality is not there.
You still have each other and the love for each other.

He's a bus driver, that causes a lot of wear and tear on rings which is why I bout him two rings, one for every day and the other for when we go out.

thanks, Im thinking about buying him a new one for xmas. Just stinks that he doesnt have one for now but I dont know that he'll ever be comfortable wearing it.

DH lost his the day before my brother's wedding in October when he jumped in the lake because our puppy jumped into the lake from the canoe them were in. DH didn't know that he could swim so he jumped in after him thinking he would drown with his sneakers, sweatshirt and jeans on and in the freezing cold. While swimming back the ring slipped off and he didn't realize. OUr puppy swam back faster than he did.

I couldn't be upset or angry because he had good intentions

Our friend told DH at the wedding 'get a duplicate made bc you will lose it in the first year' I know so many guys who do, they just arent used to wearing rings

Mine did a few months after we got married. I was upset because our rings were blessed.


I know how you feel---sorry!

My husband lost his about six months ago....we were SO upset - I was in tears. We looked for it for a whole two days....and nada. It finally turned up....of all places - under one of our placemats on the kitchen table!!!

your dh sounds like mine! My DH plays with it constantly when he wears it, forgets to put it on constantly and like a week after our honeymoon he lost it in our aptartment for like 3 weeks (he leaves it out in random places and my cats must have gotten a hold of it and it ended up underneath our tv stand)

OMG, DH plays with his ring ALL the time! We were at the grocery store ready to check out and I see something spin down the floor and I thought it was a quarter, until I saw DH Hauling after it! (never saw him run so fast!) I am constantly getting on him for playing with his ring, so he caught the ring before it went under the broccoli stand! He was smiling at me like that was a close one. I was so mad! He is going to lose it if he doesn't just leave it on!

Our friend Joe lost his swimming in the ocean...his wife bought him a new one and had it blessed by the priest that married them. So even though it isnt the ring from the wedding day, it is still a blessed ring...hth

ya that is actually a really cute story. Sad about the ring, but at least you got a cute story out of it!!


My mom lost her ring when she and my dad went away to Quebec. She still gets so upset when it comes up. They ahd called the hotel as soon as they realized- like 20 minutes later. She was positive she left it on the bathroom counter, but of course they said it wasn't there. :(

My DH lost his on our honeymoon If anyone finds a ring while snorkeling in Aruba let me know!!

We bought him another just like it in Aruba to replace it

Sorry to hear, but I do agree that men tend to forget to wear it because they are no used to it.

I just tell my DH as a joke when he forgets it at home 'If you forget to wear it I'll forget I'm married' He laughs and if we are in the lobby and he remembers it he will go back up to the 17th floor to get it
