Well last year for V-day dh gave me a GC for a massage. Uhmmm i never used it lol and it expires soon so i called to make an appt. I asked if i can use it for a facial instead and the girl said yes. I told her what skin problems i have and which facial i should do. I was thinking of doing the O3 renewing facial but she suggested the microdermabrasion facial which probably would help best. I asked her if i'll be really red, she said no not to worry and just to use SPF. Now i know my mother had microdermabrasion and i think i remember her being fine after. I dont get really red after facials so hopefully i'll be fine.
Tomorrow having dinner with my family for my birthday and i dont care if my family sees me this way but Monday we are going to Buddakan for dinner(dh wanted to do it tomorrow but my mom wanted to do a dinner for me so he did it for monday instead since he has off and we can spend the day together and do things and go to dinner)
now im thinking, watch me be all red and messed up. Ive gotten alot of different type of facials but never a microdermabrasion so not sure what to expect after do you think it will be fine? i guess make up can do the trick if anything
I get micro's almost once a month ( love them ) and I'm never red. But everyone has different skin. You should be ok.

YAY thank you, you made me feel so much better lol. I was even thinking of calling back and changing it to a different type of facial. Yeah i dont normally have problems. Even when i get extractions, it will be a little red but nothing bad and easily covered with make up.
Im excited to get it, i havent had a facial since 2 weeks before my wedding and in desperate need of one, my skin is blah and im having problems with white heads all under my skin. I hope the dermabrasion will help, glad to see you love them.

I've gotten the same type of facial. I have real sensitive skin. I've been dealing with a little bit of adult acne and I have to say after getting this type of facial, it's kept my skin so nice. I think you'll be fine.

ugh i hate this adult acne BS its the worst lol. Nothing when i was a teenager but now i deal with it W** i havent been that bad lately though, i went through breaking out badly for 2 years or more actually. But now i have SOOO many white heads underneath my skin and looks so bad, and skins just is looking dull.
Yeah ive heard great things, ive wanted to get one so im excited about it

i am very very pale and sensitive skin.....and the last time i had micro i was pink for about an hour after then i was fine.....HTH

See I get facials every now and then but when I did microderm I broke out something horrible! I am so scared to do it again. If you do turn red I was told to take cool washcloths and put them on my face and then apply aloe

OMG I hear you I never had acne as a teen and even in my twenties. Then all of a sudden I started breaking out. Not a lot, but enough to feel like the girl in those acne commercials where you have a big dot on your face I pretty much had to pay attention to what foods made me break out, change my face cleanser, moisturizer, etc. and get regular facials. I've been going to the same woman for a little over a year and my acne is under control thanks to her.

really? wow most ppl kept telling me to get micro's done. I was getting a special acne facial every month last year which worked well and she never did the derm but always wanted to try it. Yeah they were telling me they apply something on after to help so hopefully it works. I am getting older, need to keep my skin youthful now

I know, its so frustrating. Yeah i was going for facials every month last year and using a bunch of things on my face. My problem is that i have a horrible habit of sticking to a routine at first and then i stop which is my fault. I need to stick to it. I cant complain since its been alot better but skin still looks dull now and those whiteheads are so annoying. YOu cant see it from afar but once i get close i think UGH, and i feel it makes make up look different when you put it on.

I used to get Micro's once a month and I was never red. I'm not sensitive per se but my skin is extremely dry. I would just load up on moisturizer and SPF. You should be fine.

yeah thats what she told me, that they will put moisturizer and spf on me after. I do have very dry skin too, cant wait for winter to be over bc just makes it so much worse ugh.

i know i got lucky bc i still had this GC from last year which dh was about to kill me for never using and about to expire lol. It was for a massage and at first the girl was like 'well we dont usually do that and she thought about it and said ok it was fine' which im glad bc might sound weird but i wasnt in the mood for a 90 min massage lol.
I hope my skin will glow afterwards too lol

Aftwe I get mine, I would say my skin is red for a few hours. I have extremely sensitive skin. Just definitely put on make up with sunscreen afterwards amd you should be fine!!
