Every now and again I see someone post about this 'honeymoon phase'. DH and I never really felt that....is that bad??? At most we giggled for like a month when we had to start calling e/o husband and wife.....but we were both shocked at how NOTHING really felt 'different'. The day of the wedding everyone was trying to make me nervous, but i was cool as a cucumber.....i woke up feeling a little queezy kind of....like excited....but then oksana came to my house and i was chill from there......
i'm not saying i don't feel great, i do.......but we never felt like....idk...different??? did this make sense???
Also....we've been more or less living together for a while...he was from dirtaaaaaay jersaaaay and i was from LI so we slept over all the time (every week) and we moved in together 4 months b4 the wedding.

hon - we never felt any 'honeymoon' phase either. NOTHING has changed since we said i do...
we lived together for 5.5 years by the time we got married and in August, we'll be together 6 years...
i'm kinda happy that nothing changed though - he was nervous about that... we were already committed to each other...so what else could change, really?
(side note, we're also in DIRRRRRRTY jersey)

Re: Did I miss something??
we kind of had one----BUT that was because we didn't live together beforehand....and we moved in like 2 wks before the wedding. so we had that HM phase of being like 'wow we are living togehter and husband and wife and getting used to each other!'
we had those gay assss 'ooo this is our first dinner in our apt. as hubby/wife' or 'oooo this is the first guest we've had over'
then it was 'oo i wana bash you in the head with a frying pan for the first time'

We had a honeymoon phase... it was called 'the honeymoon'! Once we came back and got back to work, everything felt just like it did before. Not to say we aren't happy... it just wasn't giddiness or anything. One of my good friends and his wife have been together 11 years... got married in Oct and I have NEVER seen two people more giddy!! Even still!! God bless them.

same here... he was SO nervous about change; I think he's honestly glad I didn't change my name.
we didn't live together before but he was over like 4-5 nights a week so the only change really has been that he's always there... which is alternatively awesome and frustrating but only because i've lived alone for six years so a full time roomie is hard to get used to... but i love that he's there to snuggle with every night.
definitely no HM phase for us either. I think it's a myth.

Re: Did I miss something??
The only thing that changed is the amount of stress that has been lifted off of us. We dont have 3 times weekly meetings to go over wedding stuff
And I have to say since we got married hes alot nicer to me lol, not that he was mean before but i definately think its the HM phase i hope it lasts lol

Re: Did I miss something??
I totally agree. I didn't feel like anything changed when we got married. We also lived together beforehand. Everyone always says, 'how's married life?' And I'm like, not much different than co-habitating life

We lived together for about 3 years before we got married, so there was NO HM phase... I had a hard time when he moved into MY apartment..
