Did people come to your wedding and not give a gift?

I've heard about this happening but it didnt happen to me.

we had a few. We also had a bounced check and one check that wasnt signed.

One person couldn't give us anything but later on she gave us cash and a an anniversary card. All that matters is she was there to share my day with us!!

I can't stand people who come to a wedding and give $50! That's not even enough to cover your plate!!

Yeah we got 3 empty cards ( one coworker just gave us a gift a few weeks ago) along with no shows and still no gift.

I hear that! I'm usually the most understanding when it comes to people not being able to afford a gift or something. But when I know they have the $ to give AND we are not close at all....my mom's cousin who I've seen only a few times in my life, I barely know her, no one likes her. She's a PITA. She gave $50. I wouldn't have cared if she was someone important to me and I wanted there. During my reception she proceeded to tell my dj the music was too loud. (which by the way, was the most reasonable volume I've ever heard at a wedding) He wouldn't do it w/o asking me. Then she yelled at my dad while he was trying to eat his dinner that the dj wouldn't turn down the music. There were numerous other things she did. She had not one nice thing to say and gives less of a gift than friends I have who can't afford it.

we had a few people who came and did not give us a gift, and also one couple (my cousin no less) didn't come after they RSVP'd yes, and did not give us a gift.

Yea my brothers didnt even give me a card and they brought dates!?!?!!!

Yeahp more than one guest, not even a card. I understand times are rough but at least a card saying something

Yes, we also had a few people who did not give us gifts. This includes two of DH's sisters, and one of them was a bridesmaid. Times are tough, yes, but we still have not received a gift, as was written in the card, and I do not expect one. I am by no means well-off, but when I know a wedding is coming up, especially for someone close to me, I put money aside. We took almost two years to plan the wedding. I just think that when you have so much notice, and you do not give a gift, it is not really because you couldn't have put something aside, it's because you didn't want to. I also think a little something is better than nothing. People give what they can. Anyway, I was a little surprised and bothered at first, but...I count my blessings.

Oh yea we did and DH's friend only gave 25. What was the point!!! We had like 8 no shows and 2 people who didnt give us anything.

We had two but they both told me they were sending it in the mail… hasn’t happened yet.

And we had one couple give us a picture frame.

Crashing NW Board bc I'm bored...

My friend had someone give her a frame from the Kohls across the street, bought IN BETWEEN THE CHURCH AND RECEPTION!!!!!!!!!

Not that I would ever do that...but if I did I sure as h ell wouldn't give them the gift receipt showing what time and where it was purchased!

One of our GROOMSMEN and his wife......absolutely NOTHING, not even a card, and never came to us to tell us if they were planning on giving anything, we've gotten nothing, and I don't plan on that changing...people make me insane!

yes we had quite a few....3 of his family members told us they 'owe us and I.O. U'..
