Did this happen to you after your wedding?

Did this happen to you after your wedding?

Every invitation DH and I receive from our wedding guests, I feel obligated to accept ... even things I don't want to do.

DH and I were so excited that the wedding was over and that we could 'do whatever we want' and 'relax all the time.' But I feel like, because people came to our wedding, when they invite us to parties or dinner or what have you, that we HAVE to go because they came to our 'party.' Does that make sense? How can I say no?

I'm pretty burnt out to be honest, and I would love nothing more than to just hang out with DH and do whatever we want, whenever we want ... but we always wind up doing crap, all the time.

Meh.

Yeah I don't feel that way at all. Weddings yes, other events, no.

That's exactly it. I just agreed to go to a holiday gathering on a MONDAY NIGHT. I'm trying to make DH come with me but I don't blame him for not wanting to go - I don't want to go either!

If its a holiday party, send a mrs fields cookie basket....

if its a wedding, send a gift with your card...

Not obligated to go if you really dont want to push it, but, think...will you regret it?
