Did you bother
saying anything to the people who just didn't show up to your wedding? I have a few people that just didn't show up -- no phone call, text, email or anything. It's been well over a week and I'm wondering if I should bother making contact to see what happened...

Re: Did you bother
um.. the ones from DHs side i haven't reached out to, and i don't think i even want to.as for my side.. a family friend tried calling me twice, i didn't answer, my mother is mad at him and i'd rather not deal with it. he called my mother the wednesday before my wedding to confirm the date, then commented on my FB status saying 'i'm married' ON my wedding day, and he didn't show up.
i had another family show up to the church and tell me that day that they wouldn't be at the reception due to personal issues.
i've reached out since and i've been ignored.
i know there were others that didn't show.. but i don't even remember who they were.
i could care less. they snubbed me, not the other way around, i'm not going to reach out to people who don't have the decency to contact or congratulate me on one of the biggest days of my life.

Re: Did you bother
if you knew the no-shows well enough, i'd ask them ... or have your family ask.otherwise, i'd just let it go.
ps: welcome back

Re: Did you bother
I had a girl call me the morning of the wedding saying that she would like to give me money for her plate since she can't make it. Honestly, I'm not going to be like okay you owe me X amount of dollars. I never spoke to her again. That is a friendship deal breaker for me.
