Re: Did you save your top tier?
We saved it -- it's in the basement freezer at my mom's house in Farmingdale. I have no clue when we'll have it, but I'm already looking forward to it. Otherwise, I'm dragging DH to the Milleridge for dinner on or near our anniversary just for the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!

eta: I tried all sorts of searches here but no luck Sorry ladies. I remember that to preserve it, you have to use a lot of multiple layers of wraps to prevent it from getting freezer burned....saran wrap, aluminum foil, saran wrap again....etc.

Re: Did you save your top tier?
It was placed in one our crates of stuff from the RH that our DOC held onto until we came home from HM. She had NO idea it was in there & it went VERY bad - so I guess we order & eat a new top next year...

Re: Did you save your top tier?
No... Swan Club packed it up all nice for us but we didn't realize it was in the box with all of our other stuff we brought home from the RH, so it sat in the car overnight. It went in the garbage.
I only got to have one bite of it too!

when we were leaving the NRC we had no room for it, so its currently in the freezer of my mom's (gay husband) friend's house He was nice enough to take it home.

Douglaston packed it beautifully and the girl even wrote us a long note about how much fun she had as our bridal attendant and Congrats etc. It's in my mom's freezer.

Re: Did you save your top tier?
No, my aunt told me she saved hers and it was full of freezer burn, so we decided to eat it. DH's sister came over with her boyfriend about two-three weeks later and we took it out of the freezer then and ate it. It was AMAZING. I didn't get to eat it the day of because I was so full, I couldn't even get drunk or drink water! So I'm glad we didn't wait because I could still enjoy it.

We ate it at brunch the day after our wedding and it was delicious!!! I plan on having another one made for our one year anniversary so it can be fresh and yummy.

Re: Did you save your top tier?
ours is in my moms fridge. we plan to at least try it.
def agree with the multiple layers!!!!! my friends 1 yr anniversary was on 10/11 and she gave me a huge chunk of her red velvet top tier. it was sooooo good. no freezer burn and it smelled/tasted exactly how it did at her wedding!!!
