Did your Dad give you a gift at your shower?

Mine did - he gave me a Winnie the Pooh. The card with it said, 'Here's a gift from me to you because you'll always be my Annie Pooh'
Apparently Annie Pooh was his nickname for me when I was a baby - I never knew!

Yes, my Dad flew my little sister in to New York for my shower. They live in Pittsburgh, so I didn't expect to see her at my shower.

I got a gift from my dad and my step-mother.

It was the typical things off my registry, but they threw in a nice set of lepord pasties and thong!

Very embarassing!

My poppa did, it actually was a winnie the pooh too. He sent it with a card saying it was from my nana who had passed on. When she was sick I gave her a winnie the pooh of mine that she bought me long ago. It is buried with her now. So, needless to say, I cried my eyes out when I got my pooh bear at my shower.

That was a really sweet gift from your dad.

my mom handed me an old looking yellowing envelope at the shower with a bouquet of gladiolas it was from my dad who passed away 5 years ago. his favorite flowers were gladiolas he grew them in my back yard and everything. i had gladiolas as my wedding bouquet. the letter it turns out was written when i was first born to be opened on my wedding day my mom thought it would be better if i had it before-okay tears are starting now-he said his parents didnt make it to his wedding day so he wanted to cover all bases just in case he wasnt. it was the sweetest most touching thing that i ever received and it really made me feel that he was going to be there that day with me. it refreshed my memory about how he really loved me

Wow all those gifts are so sweet - esp that letter. It's like something out of a movie.

My dad is a painter by hobby, and he painted me a lovely picture and gave that to me framed at the shower along with the pots and pans set my parents gave me.
