My husband said he started tearing when he saw a flash of white (I was trying to run to the stained glass part of the vestibule so he wouldn't see me). Surprisingly, I started to sob when I walked down the aisle when I saw all my family and friends. Then when I looked up I saw him tearing and it made me start crying even more.

Stacedz ... I was just like you ... surprised at myself for not crying. I thought I would be a basket case & was sooo worried about it for months before. It felt like a dream day ... we were so excited that I couldn't even think about crying!! If I'd have known that, I wouldn't have spent ANY time worrying about it!!!

I bald my eyes out and that touched him alot. His eyes got real watery but he worked real hard to make sure not one tear drop fell.
Everyone knows my husband is a toughie so after the ceremoney the bridal party said they were all waiting for the tear to drop. It never did.
He said Marines never cry.

Scott didn't cry but got teary-eyed when I did. I never really cried like I thought I might.Stef once told me that girls who normally cry don't cry on their wedding days, and girls who never cry, do on their wedding days.
I only teared up twice, once when I looked behind me and realized that my grandmothers were missing this moment (they are both in Heaven and I KNEW they wouldn't be there, but it hit me like a ton of bricks at that moment). It was really weird because my stepmother was reading the hands prayer and at that moment Scott wiped a tear from my face, and she said something about wiping tears. It was a totally unplanned, special moment. One more time during the prayer of the faithful (that I wrote) when our reader said, 'for those looking down us from heaven' I almost started to really cry, but I tried my best not to.

I wish I had heard steph's 'word of wisdom' before my wedding! That would have made me feel better.
Michele ... what a great story!! edited to say: mom & I were very sad b/f the wedding about missing my grandmother.
The prayer of the faithful was also a rough moment for us, too for the same reason & b/c one of our closest friends, who was supposed to read for us, couldn't come b/c his FIL was dying in the hospital ... that was emotional!

Grrrr....the picture thing hits a bad note!!! The professional picture I have is of him almost from the back. This is one thing I was very annoyed with VIP about. John's answer was I didn't have a good shot. Like oh well no big deal!
He was adorable. When I got up to the front I couldn't breath because I was so overwhelmed with his emotion.
It was very sweet. So many people commented on how cute it was.

before the ceremony i was so nervous. i was freaking out. once i went and stood at the front of the aisle the nervousness was gone and it was just replaced by so much emotion. as soon as i saw her my jaw would have dropped if it wasn't clenched shut trying to compose my self. just the fact that she was the most beatiful thing i ever saw and i was about to marry her was almost too much. i had that mumbly smile shake sweat cry thing going on. once i got up there and sat down and caught my breath i started to relax, even though i was in front of all those people, which i hate.

No, DH didn't cry, but his eyes were a bit misty, although to be honest, I was so busy sobbing, it could've looked that way since I had my eyes were all watery!!! He did get a bit nervous when I started hyperventilating and he was grabbing my hands and telling me 'Breathe Baby, Breathe' and didn't know whether I was going to pass out or not (at that point the whole church is laughing and not sure whether to call 911).

I was all smiles....and DH was all wet!! He was teary eyed & all. The Rabbi even asked him at one point if he was OK - and that moment was caught on the video. DH doesn't even try to deny it - he's just got a huge sentimental side. Ahhh...that's just a part of why I love him so much!! Isn't it so nice that we can see how much the wedding means to our guys, too??!?
