the post-wedding 'depression'

I am over-analyzing the wedding. I am saying 'I wish I had done this differntly' or 'If I had done this instead'

For example, wish I had bee more caring about the music. Not that it was bad, but there were (now in hindsight) certain things I wish I had done different.

There is NOTHING I can do about it now.

Just feeling a little 'blah' I guess.

You'll get over it!

I loved my wedding, I had a few problems, but just remember you married the love of you life and all the other things will go away!

There are always going to be things that you think back and 'wish' maybe went another way. I am the biggest 'regreter' in the world but I am constantly reminded about how amazing my wedding was.

I think sometimes LIW is a problem for a lot of girls (GASP!). Simply because...we hear about other weddings, we see other girls' pictures, we 'think' we know what our wedding day will be and then.... reality is different.

We each have our own 'Special' pictures at our own unique places. Each of our days were different, each of our crowds were different. Our halls, though some are the same, are different given a particular season or staff.

All in all, you have to take your day for what it was - an amazing, loving, happy day and let go of any 'would, shoulda, coulda's' because your day was unique and your 'own'!

I think its just one of the stages most brides go through. Its bliss, then sadness its over, then maybe some anger/sadness/regret over details, and then acceptance, till you finally just remember the best parts and are overall happy with the memories. So you will get through this and feel much better with time. Talking about the issues you had does help though, it least it did for me.

I def agree that being on here almost makes the post-wedding blues worse, b/c you're still surrounded by all the pomp and circumstance.

The thing that bothers me most is that the reception is such a blur. I think I was on such an emotional over load, that it all feels dream like. I can't wait for the video to piece it all together!

HANG IN THERE!
