Re: Diets
I don't really do a 'diet', just general healthy eating and trying not to over-eat. It's hard!

Re: Diets
If and When I diet.. I usually do the 'Dayna' diet.. it's my version of Atkins.. I will lower my carb intake and if I eat them, it will only be for breakfast!

Re: Diets
on a regular basis, I just don't eat a lot of sugar and fats. I eat a lot of veggies, fruits, plain yogurt, soup, lean fish, whole wheat grains, lowfat cheese, etc. I refuse to 'diet' because I want to be able to stick with something, so when I decided I needed to lose weight and be healthy, I just worked really hard to change my eating habits and stop eating crap (and start exercising). So, 4 yrs and 30lbs later, I feel like I've done a good job

Re: Diets
i tried sparkpeople.com for a while and learned a lot about my eating habits. When I need to get back on track, i use that site to track my calories. The best part is that it's free!!

we're the same as you.... we just changed to more natural food, with reduced carbs and lots of veggies. we also eliminated soda and high carb or diet drinks, and reduced dessert consumption, eating mainly trail mix as 'dessert'. We drink a lot of exotic juices, diluted 1:5 in water, so they're not caloric at all....
we still eat our cheeses and drink our cocktails, though. our guilty pleasures

Re: Diets
I have a lot of trouble dieting b/c I love to eat. When I feel like I'm putting on weight I do three things:
1- exercise more 2- get rid of ALL the snacks in my house 3- cut out all fat and starch
I'm always 'watching' what I eat....and when I feel pounds sneaking up, I watch even more and don't allow myself to splurge at all.
