Disaster Strikes - Now with PHOTOS (update)

UPDATE - Remember what happened about 4 months ago...the wall falling down in my backyard? WELL IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY! I cannot believe this. Thank god no one was hurt, especially because our neighbors have 2 young kids, one of which was just playing out there last night! This was a faulty wall to begin with and has been taken down, put back up, etc 3 times now. The builder of our house is being good about it and finally having a 'specialist' come in and re-do the wall (at his cost) and inpsectors, etc. Shouldnt that have been done the first time, or the 2nd or the 3rd? My gosh I am so angry and DH is LIVID.

I thought I'd share a comical yet annoying story of something that happened this morning!

I am getting ready for work and all of a sudden I hear this loud crackling crash of thunder...only thing is it was right in my backyard. I thought lightening struck the house or something. We look outside only to find our 7 foot retaining wall has completely crumbled and fell down! What the heck?!!?!? I mean our entire patio (along with the neighbors - townhome) is covered in brick and rubbish right now! Sad part of the story is the builder was just at our house last week dismantling and re-doing this wall because it was bulgding and faulty. Guess he has to come back again. Not sure why it happened but I guess the rain caused it to fall. Argh!

Then I leave for work and see 3 buses coming down the road which which equals = RUN. (I take the bus to work and better catch one of those because there may not be one for another 15 minutes.) I run as fast as I can and make the bus but as I grab my bus pass, credit cards and a whole bunch of stuff come flying out of my purse all over the wet sidewalk! Arghh. So I collect everything as I feel everyone people staring at me on the bus! LOL Anyway it was a stressfull morning but at least I can laugh about it now!

Update - here are a few photos DH took:

Our house is built into a hill/cliff and we have a small patio then a big wall and grass up on a high level (7 ft up). Behind us are homes that on a much higher elevation. So anyway the retaining wall is just a wall that is holding back dirt etc. If we lived somewhere flat we would just have a fence but instead we have this brick wall! Its hard to explain...maybe I have a picture somewhere.

And I thought I was having a bad morning. I woke up with a sore throat and headache, get on the train and some man had his WET umbrella up against the seat which then fell on me. I get on the little shuttle bus and the seat was wet and then I get to work and there's a message from Dh that my Dad is in the hospital and is having surgery today and that everyone has been trying to call me but my phone was on silent. UGGGH What a morning!
