Disney Nightlife? What's your favorite

Ok, we are going this weekend, and I was sooo looking forward to Pleasure Island, I went my senior year in High School and had a blast, DH has never been. I had no idea they shut the nightclubs down! I am soo upset I was really excited ...there is only shopping and restaurants now

So, we are trying to decide between Disney's Boardwalk and Universal CityWalk.

We went to CityWalk 3 years ago, I remember it being 'ok', though I do like the atmosphere and pretty lights and clubs, though kinda ehh to go with dancing-resistant DH

We went to Atlantic DanceHall at Boardwalk for New Years 2008 and had a BLAST but we also went with my friend and DH's brother, so it was more fun with more people and a big special party they had going.....I was reading about the other club there 'Jellyrolls' which sounds pretty cool but we never went there.

So long story short has anyone been to JellyRolls? Is it worth going to over CityWalk? Do you think one place is better over the other?

ETA: We wanted to do the Cirque De Solei show but it's not in our budget this trip, we are going to SeaWorld the following day instead, I figured someone would suggest that :)

we usually go to the parks at night during extra magic hours

citiwalk is ok..we went to a movie there and had late dinner but im not too keen on the clubbing scene

i like the boardwalk better..u can rent those bikes so thats fun

i know u said cirque de solei was not in ur budget but if u can fit it in any way do it..its an amazing amazing show

u can also take the hot air balloon ride at downtown disney..we didit during the day and it was amazing but they def have night ones..i think they go up till midnight

I've been to Jellyrolls - they have dueling pianos which is kind of fun....DH and I had a blast there when we went.

I'm like Gina though - we do the extra magic hours at night and most nights after being the parks all day are too exhausted to go out!

yay! jellyrolls is on my agenda for our trip in Sept since we'll be staying at the boardwalk!! glad its highly recommended!

Jellyrolls is fun. There is also all the nighttime fireworks and stuff.

I like City Walk at Universal. I actually like it better then Downtown Disney. I love Jimmy Buffets place. But I am more into that scene then the clubs.

I can't believe they changed Pleasure Island. I loved the New Years Eve every night and the clubs. It was great when you got ID'd going into the area and got a bracelet, being able to stand outside and drink there, although that was gone last time I went with DH, but they still had the clubs. But they always say Disney has something for people of all ages, so why take away the night clubs?

I know! They wanted to make it more 'family oriented'..so they shut them down and added shoppping and restuarants...like Disney needs more of that. They are open till 1 am still, so how is that for small kids? Dumb.
