DJ Question?

Did any use a lighting package with their DJ? Is it necessary for a night wedding? Any opinions would be great. Thanks!

I really didn't want the lighting package. I didn't think it would 'go' with the ambiance I was trying to create. I was overruled by DH and DJ. In the end, I am really glad that we got the lighting package. It wasn't annoying (as I feared). As a matter of fact, I think it did help get people on the dance floor and increase the party atmosphere. I don't think it would have been as great a wedding without it, quite frankly!

I wanted a party - so I wanted lights but I didn't want it to be cheesy. I requested only white lights. Wound up in the middle of the wedding day - DH looked at me and said is that color lights and we laughed - we must have had colored lights all night and didn't even realize it.

I wanted the most inexpensive package available.. so I opted for no lights..
I look at the pictures, and there were color lights. It looks really nice.
