DH almost ALWAYS goes to bed later than me. sometimes it just kinda annoys me, while we get plenty of cuddling time together, i want him to sleep next to me but he wakes up later than me and doesnt go to bed early.... just wondering what everyone elses situation is like?
I go to sleep first and than DH sneaks in like 3 hours later... Im the first one to wake up as well..on the weekends however i stay up with him. During the weekdays there is just a real unbalance of energy. Hes all happy and energized when I come home, and I am DEAD. I get home around 7.

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
DH and I always go to bed together during the week. I have to wake up earlier than him but I want to cuddle for a little while before I go off to sleep. Sometimes on the weekends we go to bed different times because he will stay up watching some stupid movie and I go to bed and watch tv.

Yes we always go to bed together, we wake up during the week within 15 minutes of eachother...DH gets mad when I stay up later..he's like 'come on brush your teeth, wash your face it's bed time'

Yeah we usually do but thats just becuase i have adapted to his bedtime. I normally would stay up later if it wasnt for DH. I sleep about 2 hours later than him everyday so if it were just me i would probably stay up a little later and watch tv. But i like going to bed together so it usually just takes me a little longer to fall asleep than him.

we go to bed together, as to what time we fall asleep is another question. DH may stay up really late on the laptop or watching t.v. while I fall asleep really fast, or other times we cuddle watching tv and then we agree to turn off the t.v.
ETA: Reading another post DH likes to stay up to catch Frasier

DH always goes to bed later than me. Very rarely do I go to bed later than him. I always make him go to bed when I go to bed because he has to be at work at 6:30!

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
During the week, we always go to bed at the same time. On the weekends, it depends on what plans we have. If we're doing something together or with other people, but for the most part yes.

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
Most nights we go to sleep the same time and by 10 and watch tv in bed. Unless we have friends over or he goes out, sometimes he'll stay up until like 1 or 2. Haha if our friends are over I always go into bed because I wake up at 5:30 am so I don't feel bad. It annoys me if we don't go to bed close to the same time for a few days in a row-I feel a disconnect. I know what you mean.

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
I've adapted to DH's bedtime. Back in the day, we certainly had different sleeping patterns, esp since there was a 2 hr difference between us. I remember staying up till midnight, waiting for his call (which was only 10:00 for him). So I used to be very comfortable staying up until 1am, even while getting up somewhat early the following morning. However, now DH gets up much much earlier than me (maybe 2 1/2 hrs?) so he's gotta get to bed at a decent hour and I just go along with him. We'll usually watch tv for about an hour and then fall asleep together.
Honestly, I'm rarely tired when the lights go out, but I feel bad watching tv or reading a book in bed when he has to be up so early. And I wouldn't wanna go into anther room either. I really like to sleep WITH him and cuddle first, ya know?

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
DH works the overnight shift 4 nights a week, so I have grown accustomed to sleeping alone (or with our doggie). The 3 nights he IS home, he tries to come to bed but the first night he is still usually up all night from being up nights all week. The other 2 nights he does come up to bed but usually way later than I do. But, he also sleeps later in the morning, and I am wide awake at like 7am LOL.

Ditto. DH has to wake up about 3hrs earlier then me so he tends to go to bed 3hrs before me too. It kinda sux but we deal with it. Also, Ive always been one to stay up late..even if I had to wake up early the next day.

DH and I always go to bed together, unless he happens to be working third shift (which he is tonight).

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
Usually DH goes to bed earlier than me, and when I say go to bed, I mean passes out on the couch around 9:00. But doesn't come to bed until I say 'Let's go to bed.' He has to be at work at 6AM so he's usually out before me every night.

Re: Do you and DH go to sleep at same time
Other than when he works nights, we always go to sleep together. I make such a stink when he wants to stay up and he gives in to me lol I think that it is important and so nice for us to lay down together, chat before closing our eyes and saying I love you before bed. We have a TV in our bedroom, so it's easy enough to lure him in by telling him we could watch TV lol.
*My hubby works a lot of hours and we do not always have evening times to eat together, hang together or go out. So when he is home and we get the chance to eat and relax, I eat up every second I can! *
