Do you and DH share the housework?

I am not complaining...my DH does do a lot. He cooks, does laundry, takes out garbage etc...

But I always get stuck mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning the bathroom. I am tired of it man!

Shall I tell DH to get acquainted with the MOP??? LOL

I do most of the housework...Dh tries..but he shrinks my clothes when he washes..so now he just does his own if I havent already done it..I do the major cleaning, but he helps out ALOT with the cooking and grocery shopping. He works around 60 hours per week..so I dont mind keepin up the house..we are both slobs..so its difficult. We need a cleaning lady!

If I want things done right, I have to do them myself!! So to answer the question, no he doesn't do much housework, he doesn't know how to do things right!!


Oh, actually he does do one thing often, he will wash the dishes, but only because I complain that they ruin my manicure that I just spent $20 on.

Absolutely -- my husband is awesome. He does the laundry, vacuums, dries the dishes, dusts. I think the only thing he won't go near is mopping the floor and doing the bathroom.

He does most of the outside work around the house and I do most of the inside work.

DH will do anything I ask, but if I want it done my way I have to do it. I let him do vacuuming, mopping, the bathroom,basic things. But if I let him put away the silverware, well I wouldn't need an organizer because he just dumps everything in. I just try to appreciate everything he does do & let go of some of my own control issues(I am defintly an everything has a place kind of person).

now, when you say 'share' do you mean - he creates it and i clean it??

j/k - i am lucky that dh will do it but prefers if i ask him to a, b and c rather than coming up with it on his own - he has a 'list' of things and does them....i guess its just the way he grew up!

he'll do what I ask, but only if I ask....it's a rare occassion when he'll take it upon himself to do something....but let's see what happens when we have an entire house to take care of!

on cleaning day it is 50/50. I started him out that way as soon as we bought our home and moved in together. other times, it's more me unless I ask/tell him, which he doesn't mind typically.
