Or are you able to take everything with a grain of salt and laugh it off?

I can honestly say I neverrr get offended. It really takes a lot for things to bother me. I let people say what they want and think what they want and everyones entitled to their opinions. It might not be the same as mine and thats fine!!

Not at all. And I get really annoyed with people who get offended easily.

Same here, very easily annoyed and impatient. But if someone wants to give me their opinion on something Im wearing or doing, I actually appreciate it. I also dont like when people apologize for no reason.

i get annoyed easily - but not offended!

for example, this guy in my office yesterday was talking about eddie murphy and how he used to have a stand up act on HBO... so he looks at me and was like 'oh your too young to know who that is' i was like 'UMM ARE YOU SERIOUS?! i'm not 8 years old!!'

THAT annoyed me, but im not offended lol

it depends on what is said...if its something personal like about family, I will get offended and tell you what I think, otherwise, I try and laugh it off

There are only a few things that get me offended. Like, if someone made a comment about my weight I wouldn't be able to shake that off as easily as if they called me a b*tch or what not.

As for ethnic jokes, religious things, etc, I'm not at all offended by anything. You gotta laugh at yourself.

But we've all read Brown Bear Brown Bear , What do you see? already. You aren't the one in control here, haven't you figured out it's all about HEATHER???

(ps: in relation to the thread - Heather did that offend you?)

actually i get really annoyed with people who ARE easily offended. I mean, I've even seen that on these boards plenty of times. Like for example, if somebody says that they're not a fan of the way 3' heels look on girls, because they feel it makes 'em resemble a street walker - suddenly any girl who has ever worn 3' heels come charging at them, like 'You calling me a wh0re!' Jeez - people just take things too personal sometimes, and they need to realize that the world does not revolve around them and that this particular person (tho she should learn not to say exactly what she feels) was not referring to HER personally. (I'm totally making this up - I dare not use a REAL scenario that could 'offend' somebody. And i wear heels too, so this is NOT my opinion. lol)

But yeah, I don't think I get offended too easily. Like somebody said above, of course I would if they say something specific about me or my family. But if it's just a close minded statement by somebody I have no real respect for anyway, then it's no big deal. Let it go.
