I like my name: Jennifer. Its simple and strong yet feminine without making anyone think of hair twirling lol.

Dh's name is Peter- as in the biblical rock. Which he is cause he is MY rock.

I like other names but what do I see myself as? I don't know. No one ever remembers my name though! Its SOOOO crazy!

I get Jessica alot, sometimes Jaqueline (WTH!), sometimes vanessa. LOL oh well.

as a child I hated my name, because no one else was named Heather, and it was different, now its a little more common, but I've grown to like it, b/c not everyone else is Heather. DH hates his name, Kyle, in the last few months on tv we've seen so many girls named it so he says its a girls name i love it since i was a kid i wanted to have my child named kyle, he says its not manly

When I was younger, NO ONE had my name and it was always so hard for everyone to pronounce (still is!) so I didn't like it. Then as I got older, I found out that it's actually a very common name among Caribbean hispanics.

I love it now. I love that its different but not like something madeup. I do hate it when people call me something totally different like Jessica (it's a nice name, just not MY name, you know?).

I think it suits me fine and I like it. So long as it's pronounced correctly, I'm good!
(PS: Its pronouced 'Yeh-seh-nee-ah' and Yesi is pronounced like 'Jessie').

Me too Yesi....When I was in elementary school I was the only Nicole until I reached the 4th grade. I used to hate my name, but now I like it.

I love the fact that my parents named me after my Grandfather & Great Grandmother, I get to hold onto a piece of them with me!

I love my DH's name too (Anthony)...which also happens to be my Dad's name!

I L-O-V-E my first name.....

However I wish it was spelt differently....I wish it was spelt Devyn....b/c people usually are like Dev- ON......and with my maiden name people would totally just mess it up.

my mother in law is Karen, but she always wanted it to be Karyn, so she just went to DMV and changed it, i don't think its legal or anything but everytime she writes anything she signs it Karyn, we think its so funny that, thats not her spelling!

When I was little my name (Jennifer) used to drive me nuts because it was so popular that all the stores that sold little personalized thingies were always out of everything that said Jennifer on it.

Now I have arguments with people about how they spell my nickname (jen). Some people are Jen and some people are Jenn (hi Jenn!!!) and we are all particular about how we spell it and why we spell it that way. It drives me nuts when people write Jenn and I respond and sign 'Jen' and they don't notice they're spelling it wrong. I have a good friend (besides Peteysbride Jenn) who is Jenn and she hates when people write 'Dear Jen.' I also hate being called Jenny and hate when people assume that they can shorten my name however they want. I know many people who go by Jenny and it suits them, just not me. Go fig. For awhile I had a friend who called me 'Nifer' because there were too many Jens.

Now I feel weird when people call me Jennifer. I always feel like I'm in trouble. When I was little Jennifer was usually followed by 'get back here, young lady!'

I forgot to answer the part about DH's name.

DH's name is Luis - sounds like LOUIS, not 'lweese'

I like his name and it fits him - I just hate it when people pronounce it like 'Lweese' instead of Luis.

I LOVE my name!! It DEF has special meaning since I was named after my Mom's sister who passed away at the age of 12 after being hit by a car while riding her bike! When my Mom was preggo with me, my Grandpa said 'I know it's gonna be a girl, her name is gonna be Marie and she will have blonde hair and blue eyes' Turns out I am the only child with blonde hair and blue eyes!! Just is really special to me

I also love Brians name! Very classic-good name!

LOVE it!!! It's original for a girl! After 32 years I am used to being asked 3 times what my name is and then people calling me Renee or something that sounds like Ryan but more feminine!!!!

I've never been a fan of my name. Jennifer is just soooo common that it drives me nuts. Thats why I spell Jenn with 2 n's -- its a tad less common than Jen. Still, to me its a boring name. I actually wish my parents had named me my middle name (Nicole).

I like DH's name (Chris) although his is one of the most common names too.
