about things you wish you had done differently? Today I'm obsessing about the way I wore my veil and how my hair was. It's starting to drive me nuts! How do you stop?

Re: Do you obsess ...
I obsess over the fact that my blusher was totally messed up all throughout the reception. It was all bunched to one side, and every time I watch the video, I just want to jump into the TV and fix it!
I deal with it by focusing on the fact that I had fun that day, and it doesn't really matter, because the still photographs came out great.

OMG! I had one curl out of place in every picture and all over my video! It bothers me...But really, at this point what can I do?
You have to just make yourself stop obsessing...Noone else can really help you, right?

Re: Do you obsess ...
I wish I had put my foot down and told DH's extended family to go inside while we were taking pictures before the cocktail hour. They jumped in every picture and ate all of our munchies and made my bridal party feel unncessary and left out.
I also wish I had confronted my mother and found out why she was acting weird (MIL exploded on her before the church and didn't talk to my mom all day). Had I forced my mother to tell me what was wrong and I could have made the ladies work it out, there would have been more pictures with both sets of parents and everyone smiling.

I loved everything I did, however, I had so many ideas and so many different things I wanted to do but I had to only pick a few. If I could do it all again I would try all the other things I wanted to do!!

yes. I wish I had lighter colored roses on my cake, and I wish I had more alterations done to the sleeeves on my gown, they were drooping and look sloppy in pictures, I wish I had napkin holders to hold almonds, I wish I had 1 less bridesmaid...I wish I was more forceful about how things were going instead of letting people take advantage of me...blah blah blah...
Hey, it's not like anyone except us notices anyway!

I did in the beginning and for a while now I obsess over the house, the baby's room other things. I think now it's a very small thought.

Oh do I obsess! I get knots in my stomach thinking about things I should have done a bit differently.
I keep telling myself 'everyone had a great time, it was a wonderful day, GET OVER IT'
I am really stuck on our pictures right now, I am kind of disappointed with some of them. I'm still seriously considering doing them over.
I know as life takes over, this whole wedding thing will become increasingly less important, but right now, I can't stop thinking about how much I hate my hair, my veil should have been poofier and longer, I should have kept my lipstick at my table, I should have taken more outside pictures.....the list goes on and on and on

I know EXACTLY what you are saying! One day on our honeymoon, out of nowhere I started crying for the same reason (and a few other things I thought went wrong). Michael thought I was nuts!

eric had to take me to an internet cafe so i could see pics online! that was the only way i would calm down. thank goodness, my friend is an amateur photog, b/c i had over 200 pics to look at! and that totally calmed me down.

Don't worry girls...as the months go by the good stuff stands out a lot more than the little things that didnt go perfectly.
