Re: Do you remember all the details of your FIRST date with your Husband??
It was a blind date. I was living in Queens @ the time and we agreed to meet in the city. I was already there at the uptown Jeckyl & Hydes for my brother's 13 bday. I had been in the city all day and got all new makeup at the Benefit in the Herald Square Macy's. I met John at Choshi Sushi on 17th and Irving. I was wearing my long sleeved gray 'rock star' Gap t-shirt- it literally says Rock Star on it.. and I had my long black coat on b/c it was January. Choshi was so crowded we wound up going to Tracy J's around the corner for a few drinks- I did like 4 shots of SoCo to calm my nerves.. I was shaking like a leaf. but we did finally make it to Choshi and the 119 bar on 15th st.

I remember everything except what we where wearing. We went to Maritime (A rest. in Midtown) which was very nice. We ordered a bottle of wine and started talking before we knew it over an hour had past and we hadn't even order our meal yet. I remember the conversation and how comfortable I felt. We still talk about it. It was pure magic.

Yep!We met while we were both college students, me a business major and Nick a techie major at Pace University, New York in the Computer Lab. Nick flirted with me to get my attention while on duty in the lab tossing my student identification card on the floor and making me bump my head from the registration desk to pick it up. After the Fall 1996 semester ended, we sat next to each other in the lab sending emails to each other where I’ve given Nick my phone number and told him I was free during the Christmas 1996 break. He’d asked me out and we went to a local sports bar for dinner on a bitter cold December evening of a New York winter as our first date.

I went to Pace University too and I worked in the computer lab as well. I stopped working there after the Spring Semester 1996. I can't remember anyone named Nick working there too, but that was a long time ago. What a strange coincidence.

Re: Do you remember all the details of your FIRST date with your Husband??
I remember that we went to 'Josie's' on the Upper West Side. I have 3 extremely vivid memories.1. Josie's is an enviormentally friendly resturant. They have great veggie selection and serve free range beef and chicken. So, I found it rather odd that as the table across from us was leaving the woman put on her mink coat. I metioned that I found it slighty odd to my DH and he said something about people wearing leather. I replied that ' No One that I know has ever eaten mink'. He said ' Well, if it were on the menu I would try it. If cat was on the menu I would try it.' To which I replied ' I don't care what you do, but there is no way I am eating pu**y.'
Yes, I am always a lady.
2. We continued our date at P&G's. We were getting ready to leave and apparently our table was in demand. A little person came over and asked if we were leaving. I said 'Yes.' He then said 'Do you want to see my di**?' I waited a m oment for my date to say something, but he didn't. So, I replied 'If it is as little as the rest of you no.'
3. Our first kiss. At the bottom of the stairs to my apartment. I floated up the stairs!!!

Re: Do you remember all the details of your FIRST date with your Husband??
I remember everything about our first date.Me and DH met on America Online, we talked on the phone for about a month and then he asked me out. He met me in front of my building, since we both work in the city. He was 5 minutes late because he got lost.
He wore jeans with a black, white and red top and I wore a blue top with black pants and black boots.
We went to a TGIF and I got chicken fingers and he got a Wednesday burger. After that we went to Bryant Park and were talking. I wanted to kiss him but was really nervous. So I kept going in for it but then get nervous and pull away.
So then when we were saying goodbye in the train station I finally went in for the kiss and he kissed me back.

I remember I was just about at the end of my 'sick of dating jerks' rope and was thinking about not going to meet him. But at my mom's urging, I did - THANKS MOM
I remember his broad sexy shoulders, his adorable plaid shirt and sophisticated glasses. We ordered escargo.
We made the plans for date #2 that night and then he kissed me
I stayed up half the night telling my parents how great it went.

Re: Do you remember all the details of your FIRST date with your Husband??
wow - great stories!I remind DH how I asked him out, so he should be very thankful
I don't remember what I wore, but i remember it was nicer than my usual jean shorts, and he shows up in a blue sweatshirt (which i made fun of him for a little), and he was 2 hrs late because he 'got lost' finding my house. (ok not a good sign) now my hse was a little off the beaten path, but I think he was just late. But i went anyway, figuring i had nothing else to do
But it ended up being a great date. And he kept the sweatshirt to always remember our first date..

I remember every little thing. He works nights and we met right before Christmas so we went to Maureen's for breakfast on New Year's Eve morning...of course it was awesome and I was so excited cuz he asked if he could meet me whereever I was when he got out of work.Of course, my friends hated me cuz we had to hang out at the bar until he showed up at 2:30 a.m. with bagels for all.

Re: Do you remember all the details of your FIRST date with your Husband??
I don't remember what I wore but I remember he wore this blue shirt that I hate!!!!!!And it was a sucky date! He's soooo lucky I stuck with him because that date was horrible.
He took me to the YONKERS RACEWAY. He wanted to find a new bed comforter and was told that there was a vendor there that sold bed-in-a-bag for $30 there.
Now I'm all for a good flea market but on a first date? I thought it was weird, but went.
Then we didn't know where to go and so I suggested Palisades Mall. We went to play games in Dave & Busters. That was OK, I had gotten all the tokens and never asked me what I wanted to play. I could have gotten my own ( and I think I finally did) but was ticked that he didn't ask me first.
But 4 days later I wound up in the hospital and he came and visited - even though his car broke down on the way - he made the two truck guy drive him to the hospital and then bring the car to the garage so he could see me. And I found out a week later he is scared sh!t of hospitals so for him to go into one for a girl he met 2 weeks before that......I had to give him a 2nd chance!! And I'm glad I did!
He still has the shirt. I tried to throw it out but he won't let me. Yet he never wears it. After reading a post above I realized it's because it's from our first date.
And I just remembered - he told me on our honeymoon he was so nervous on our date because he thought I was this sophisticated NY'er (ha!) and that's why he kept forgetting to ask me if I wanted to play any of the games.

Re: Do you remember all the details of your FIRST date with your Husband??
yes, and it was about 10 years ago. I changed my outfit so many times, I remember exactly what he wore...even his cologne! He brought me vanilla bean ben and jerry's ice cream and we never even left my house to go out. We looked through photo albums and talked a ton. I had major butterflies in my stomach all night! LOLWhat I remember most is that I actually kissed him on our first date...ALOT and I was not that kind of girl when I was 17!
