Do you think the bank will let me cash a check...

In my maiden name now that I changed it?

Long story short we got a refund from a vendor who didn't show at the wedding due to a family emergency (it was for a cupcake tree). I JUST got the refund yesterday after emailing her 3 times about it, and sending her my new name and address. Well, its in my maiden name she was very apologetic about canceling (but not about the delay with the refund ) and she handled it right by sending us a refund (finally) BUT given that it took this long to get the check I don't want to ask her to rewrite one.

If I take the check to the bank where I changed my name do you think it will be ok??

yes... Chase lets me do it all the time...

they just asked me to sign it in my maiden name and my married name

I would think so. Esp. if you used this bank w/your maiden name.

i deposit checks into my account that aren't even in my name.

i deposited a few checks before the wedding that were to 'mr and mrs c' or to DH and actually two to my MOTHER!
and i used to deposit DHs paycheck into my checking... before we were even engaged.
just sign your maiden name and go to the ATM. thats how i used to do it.

Yeah they will, coz they will keep your old signature card with your maiden name on it.
