I have something VERY similar from Ikea... and it's much more spacious than it looks! I think I have extra space between my shelves but also one less drawer.
My piece technically isn't a china hutch.. it's a linen closet... but it works perfectly. the shelves are nice and sturdy too for glass... just don't put anything heavy in the drawers.

I have all glassware in mine... I have A LOT of glassware but no china.

I think it will def fit a 12 pc china set plus some glassware. If you have A LOT of glassware.. you might have to squeeze some pcs in, maybe even omit some... but if you don't have a ton.. then you should be totally fine.
