Do you twitter??

I have been hearing soooo much about it lately, and there's a segment about it right now on the early show. I don't really get it - but I am wondering if it will help me in my job search. Who does it? What does it do for you?

i recently heard about this as well... i think its kind of like facebook for job searching.. like, you make a profile and then you can search different agencies that have job postings

i THINK thats the gyst of it

I don't think it's just for job searching -- all sorts of people twitter - you just go on there and say what you are doing .. and people 'follow' it like they would subscribe to a blog - it's basically a much more streamlined version of a blog. So emp. agencies could post 'I'm looking to hire a communications manager' - or you could post 'I am eating an english muffin for breakfast.' I don't see the purpose for everyday people -- like who cares if you are eating breakfast, really? But for important things - politics, job seekers, job hirers, etc - it might be useful ... just what I see it as, or what i've heard, actually - never really checked the site out but I am going to do that now!

its basically a site for you to update with your every move lol

Its like FB but without the whole profile thing. You update your 'status' and you can upload pics and people can comment on it.

I'm on twitter. www.twitter.com/foleybf I use it for work purposes. I find it interesting and I like to read articles and see links i normally wouldn't find on my own.

i just enjoy getting news and this is where i can focus on the news I do want. Mostly Isles b/s, recipes, newsday, nhl talk, my favorite authors tidbits.

I think Sara (old name future_farrell) is following me too, but I don't see her listed in my 'followers' - but I got an email saying she was ... hmmm ....
