i have been in two but I haven't purchased one. Not 100% sold on the car myself but they are nice. I don't like the 'joy stick' shift and found it confusing for myself but my boss and the president of the college loves it. I think it has great details and you deff. save in gas.

My boss has one and he said he went round trip from LI to Boston w/o filling up!

My mom has one, I have driven it--I like it a lot! It's actually pretty roomy inside, has a lot of room in the back, and has pretty good pick-up. I have a Corolla and I think it's a little roomier than that. I like all the displays also. I would go for it!

I LOVE IT!!!
I beat the CRAP out of my car- I have 50k mi on it and I got it in March of '06. Its roomy and fits so much in the trunk. The car drives like a dream- I just put my first set of new tires on it and I haven't even done brakes yet!!!
Oh and when we went up to Niagara Falls when we got engaged, we got from Wantagh to Buffalo near the border on one tank of gas!!!
I think we spent $40 on gas the entire trip! That was when gas was like $2.60/gallon.
Especially if you do alot of city driving- its perfect!!

thanks jess! They actually had an 06 one for sale, have you ever had any problems with it? I've heard that they're expensive to fix if something breaks. Have you encountered that?

I have a corolla too. Her name is Laverne. I'm thinking of just getting another one because the prius was a little more than I wanted to spend. Thanks for your input.

NOPE! It is a little pricy to keep up with the maintenance because its a foreign car and every little thing is gonna cost $$$- esp if you go to the dealer. But honestly, I haven't had any 'expensive' repairs with it, other than standard stuff- headlights, tires, service, etc.
They wanted me to flush the cooling and fuel injection system to the tune of $400 and I told them to shove it up their A$$!

I don't but one of my friends rented one and she loved it...it is great on gas and saves you lots of $$$!!!! I want it as my next car but I am waiting until my car falls apart (Honda Civic)!
