Does anyone else have a major chocolate addiction???

Original post by Jenn04

I seriously think of chocolate every single day....several times a day! What is wrong with me. It is always like this too, like almost every day, especially after lunch or dinner. And I cannot just eat alittle. Like if someone gives me a chocolate bar, I eat the whole thing in like 2 minutes.

It also takes all my will power not to walk down the hall and grab some peanut m&m's from my friend. (Who has an endless supply). I cave alot though. And it also takes all alot to walk by all the candy when I check out at the grocery store or the magazine stand or bed bath and beyond! I work out alot so I know that helps but I want to kick this habit! I bought sugar free fudge pops and fat free chocolate pudding and that helps but sometimes I eat two in row...oops! (And I dont keep any other chocolate in the house otherwise it is deadly).

Ok I couldnt resist - I just went down to get some peanut m&m's.

My biggest downfall is Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and anything mint related....like Lindt dark chocolate and mint bar....omg so good!

yea I am addicted- I have to have at least one chocolatey thing a day- I have these amazing baskin robbins chocolate hard candies that I keep on my desk- they are sugar free and help throughout the day- I also usually have a cup of hot chocolate in the late afternoon- its filling and I feel like I get a lot of chocolate for the 80 calories per cup hth

chocolate is beyond an addiction to me......

when i am in my own version of rehab and i really stay away from it i can be ok without it but.....

when i fall of the wagon i fall hard!!!!!!! just 1 little piece is all it takes and i am done!!!!!

so i guess i am literally a chocolate 'junkie'

I just ate 2 brownies. Usually I'm not this chocolate crazed-only during my period. Once in awhile though I it.

Oh my goodness, it is comforting to hear that someone else has the same problem I do.

I remember a few years back in college, when I was working back stage on a show, a teacher gave out boxes of chocolates to all everyone who helped with the show. As she was speaking, telling us what a great job we did, I slowly start unwrapping the box of chocolates. My friends heard the crinkling of the celophane and laughed. I couldn't even wait for the thank you speech to be over, I needed to eat the chocolate right then and there.

I have a true addiction, however, I go through periods of time where I go cold turkey (and suffer), and then have no chocolate. It gets easier as time goes on, but I always fall off the wagon. But during these no chocolate periods (along with no junk food), I feel much much better, physically at least.

Good luck with breaking your addiction

OMG this is so me! Sometimes I get Godivas here at work and I literally eat the whole box as soon as I get it. People will stop by and ask if they can have one and I am so embarrased because they are gone already!

Ok ok today - no chocolate for me.

Hi my name is Marisol and I'm addicted to chocolate.

Oh and I have a husband whose idea of a hot fudge sundae is chocolate ice cream with hot fudge. I think that's bad!!

Did you make it through the day without chocolate? I didn't.

Its so hard b/c you can pass it up 10 times, but it is always in your face, all day long. Its always the last thing you see before you check out of a drug store or supermarket. Its everywhere. Today, I passed it up several times, but then someone actually gave me a box of chocolates as present! What am I supposed to do???
