Does anyone feel........

pressured to get the house and start a family. I'm close to 35 and I feel it, but to make matters most confusing, I'm not sure if I want to have a child.

Is anyone else in my boat.

You are not alone. Thankfully Dh owned a house b/4 we even met. But we where only married 3 weeks when poeple started to ask us about kids.

We are not even sure that we want to have any kids.

I think its rude to ask people.

I know that I would like A baby (just one), but am not even close to being ready yet. After two years of marriage and being older, people look at me weird. I'm just not ready for that much of a change of life yet.

OMG yeah!

I am turning 34 next month and every day I speak to a family member the question is always- 'are you preggy yet'. I mean seriously......... DH & I definitely want kids and we're currently working on it. We also want to buy a house early next year so the pressure to save $$$$ and get preggy is very high.

We get some of that. We are in the same boat as you as we are also unsure if we want children. I'm dying for a house though, so saving is the #1 priority at the moment.

Now that we got a house, everyones like 'Whens the baby coming?'. We are not ready anytime soon. My MIL is upset that we are getting a dog before having a baby.

I cannot wait to have a house!!!! Or even an apartment of our own, where no one else is living (we live with a friend right now, but hopefully only for a few more weeks.)

The baby thing is another story. My younger brother's wife is pregnant!! I do admit that I look at them longingly on the street every day. But, it's not time for us yet. We just got married! And we're just living in the same country after over a year apart. I'm looking forward to enjoying the time we have together before having a baby.

Well, to be honest, I do have a son from a previous relationship. He is 6 years old. He's very independent and I have to be honest when I say I am enjoying that. To start over, well, is not so appealing to me. My DH definetly wants a baby, sooner rather than later, while I would like to save for a house. We are in an apartment/house right now.
But the thought of doing it all again, when finally I get to sleep late on the weekends and do things without constantly having to watch over my son is very freeing! Please don't think I'm a selfish person, because that is so far from the truth.
