Does anyone have a hard time watching themselves on their wedding video?

I got my raw footage last week, and I love how the day turned out - it really shows through on tape I just can't help but feel like an @$$ when I see myself on tape, dancing, or anything for that matter! Nothing in particular happened, and my DH thinks I'm insane, but I just think I look like a fool! Please tell me I'm not the only one camera shy.......

Nope, you're not the only one! The first few times I watched mine I kept saying 'Why did everyone let me look so ridiculous?!' Now I'm used to my cheesy ear to ear grin.

Terri, certain parts, I get a little eh hem embarassed, or where I am not captured in my bestest light...but none the less I love watching anyway. Just skip past the part you don't like. My hubby's BM refuse to watch the video, he hates to see himself taped

I guess I'm in the minority...I don't have a single bit of self-consciousness watching my video! I love seeing what a great time my hubby and I had together...we remember so little of it that it's nice to see we had a fabulous time! LOL!

ps - Teri, I think you'll get over it after you've seen it many times!

I definitely understand Teri. Although I love watching the video, I hate the way I look dancing and I feel like I talk with my hands too much. I also hate the way I look from certain angles. I am however thrilled with how I came out in the still photos and I still love watching everyone else on my video!

I didnt see my videographer all night, so I have no idea what he got of us. I am a little paranoid, I hope I dont look too stupid.

I didn't have a problem watching myself on video. Both hubby and I were okay with the way the wedding was documented.

You're not the only one -- and Yabbo, I too hate my voice on everything!!!! I felt like the biggest idiot watching me sob down the aisle and then when I was hyperventilating, I was MORTIFIED, but my husband thought it was the funniest thing since sliced bread!!! Now I laugh at myself throughout the whole thing, while I sit there with a big grin on my face!!!!

I am very uncomfortable watching my video, I think I look like I was not having a good time, even though I had the best time ever!

it is a bit weird to see myself on video, but i'm actually pleased with how it turned out...this is no exaggeration, but my wedding video is the only time in my life i have ever looked good on camera so i feel REALLY lucky!!

dka-that is kind of the way I feel. I was dreading seeing me on camera but watching my video wasn't bad It was the first time I liked the way I looke don camera. Fortunately, you rarely hear my voice (I had a DJ so the video plugs in and you hear very little talking) ...the times you do are the only time I cringe!

I love our video but everytime I see it I say 'I need a nose job'.
