Does anyone have a iphone?

DH's birthday is this Wednesday and he really wants one.
We have two phones with Verizon and still have about a year and half left on the contract.

I could be the most awesome wife in the world this Wednesday and get him the stupid phone but it is expensive and I think I would have to break a Verizon contract and get an AT&T contract for the phone ? If you need to have AT&T service what was the minimum contract you could do?

Doing that would be crazy wouldn't it? I really have turned into my mother but what happened to the good ol' days when a phone was used to make phone calls.

I just read through some of the related topics. he is definitely not getting a iphone. Underwear and socks it is.

Rip off . . . wait for them to be able to go into other phone companies. Plus, right now they are trying to work out kinks. Best to not buy things when they are brand new.

Verizon is coming out with look- alike phone soon. Maybe you can wait and get it for him for Christmas?

I have no issues with AT&T and have had them/cingular for like 7 years now. DH has the iPhone and loves it! I mean he got it the first day they came out. He doesn't have too many issues and trust me he would complain a lot if he did. I'm not sure what the minimum plan is though. I have the lowest phone service which is the 39.99 plan but I think you'd need a data plan to go on the internet on the phone, I think the cheapest data plan is like 20 extra per month.
