Does nayone else get peeved when their MIL knows their business?
For some reason stores, pharmacies and other places call DH's old number (his Mom's house) when they need to reach him.
They have the current number, but the idiots still call there. Anyway....I get a call or a message from my MIL like this : 'CVS said that your script is ready......'
Then she has to know what the script is for and gets pissed when I don't tell her.
I hate when she knows any of our business. Even if she knows we bought new curtains. I don't know why I get so aggravated. I guess it is because she tells everyone all our business. Even what we pay for things.
Anyone else go through this?

No, but I can understand how that would be frustrating. I think it's absurd that she insists on knowing what your prescription is for!

Thanks ladies! It''s not only that, she wants to know everything we do.
She even told people at work how much our mortgage is. I don't know why is always in our business and has to know every little detail.

I can see why you would be annoyed.
We don't have that problem but rather the complete opposite. Seems we get a lot of phone calls for Scott's pop from credit card companies. It drives me up the wall since I am the one who is home when this happens. I like to be a helpful family member by providing the CORRECT number as well as a cell phone number and work number for his mom . Can't you just feel the love .

awhh sorry you have to deal with that I don't think I would appricated that so much either - it is bad enough she gets our mail sometimes b/c Dh never took off that mailing addy for stocks he has with Dad.

DH and FIL have the same first name ... just a different middle name. And we currently live in the same town as them.
So our mail is always mixed up with theirs. It can definitely get frustrating .... its funny sometimes, its like the postal workers don't read the address, just the name & then they decide which house they're going to deliver it to
Fortunately we haven't experienced what you are ... because that would be hard to deal with!

I actually share our business with my MIL.She lives upstairs, and we're always in contact, and she never invades our privacy or intrudes un-announced.We have a good relationship. But if she were to ask something I was not comfortable with, I'd simply say....I don't wanna talk about it. Sorry your going through this.

I don't have that problem. But I do get mail for my MIL and SIL (in her maiden name) to my address. I bugs the heck out of me. They never lived here!! We don't even live in the same town.
