Does this feeling of 'I miss wedding planning' go away???

I've been married now for 17 days ! the first week after the wedding i was busy on our HM. but now that we're home, i'm like 'i miss running around and shopping, and looking online, and trying things on, etc'. does this feeling go away? i've been busy with moving and setting up our new home but i still think about wedding planning in the back of my head.

even worse, i look at the 06 boards and i'm like 'oh, these girls are still waiting for rsvp's! lucky!'

Yes, it goes away!! It's perfectly normal to feel this way. There are a few threads here on this topic.

I was so down after the wedding and after coming back from our HM and to reality. It took a while for me to snap out of it, but I did.

It definitely goes away. For me, it was hard at first. however, as time passed, I enjoyed having free time and not having to worry about vendors, etc. Now I just enjoy being married and am loving married life.

Yes! After a few months I wanted nothing to do with wedding planning anymore - plus there always seems to be something new to plan - we started looking for a house a week after HM so that project took over.

It took me about 4 solid months to get somewhat over it. I stilll watch my video and wish I could jump back into that moment. I think I miss it so much because I don't want to forget it.

Eventually, other things take hold and your wedding is no longer the 'talkof the town' (for me it was over for some before it even started), and life will settle down.

I guess it's somewhat of a loss in a way because you are so consumed with something for so long and then poof! it's gone, but you have a whole new chapter (and babies!) to begin.....

Yes, it will go away after a few months.

Luckily, we were able to purchase a home two months after the wedding so that kept us busy and still does, there is always something to do around the house. We also just really have been enjoying married life and eachother's company. I completely forgot about the planning at this point and sure don't miss it anymore.

It goes away...depending on how you feel. I think my went away almost immediately...
I felt like as soon as it ended that I had my life back.

I''ve been married for 30 days now and I still miss it.

I have 4 friends that are getting married between now and '07, so I can still get the thrill. I love shopping for them and giving them advice. It's nice!

The only time I miss it is if I see a beautiful boquet or centerpiece (I really should just be a florist already) or if I miss my family because I relate being engaged and living 'at home' with them as my 'wedding planning year'...

But I do not miss the worries and anxiety. Right now, I am doing my album and I can not wait for it to be over. I was just saying to Kissy that it's hard for me to relate on the 06 board because it feels like sooo long ago that I was worrying about RSVP's!

It'll go away, but not in a bad way. You had a beautiful day and you will think back with happiness!

I've been married for 30 days now and I miss wedding planning so much, I know exactly how you feel. I've been trying to keep myself busy with other things, but DH too admits, we miss all the anticipation of our big day. It's starting to get better tho, as new things come into play.

I still miss it! I wish I could be a bride again. But I still have little things to look foward to, like proofs, my video, and the boquet preservation that I just ordered. And as people send pics of the wedding, it's fun to remember and sort of 'relive' the moments in my mind. But I definitely miss being a bride, so I know how you feel.

Definately don't miss it anymore- it only led to I wish I had done this differently questions for me. I don't even want to do my album.

Since we closed on our house 2 weeks ater retuning from our honeymoon, I was busy with that immediately so that took my mind off of missing wedding planning. Try to keep busy with other things

I don't miss it - I totally thought I would but I don't have any feelings of sadness at all. I love being married and having no wedding stress.

I am sure it will go away!!!

I don't really miss it. Athough I thought I would. I'm loving married life and not having any stress. I can come home from work and RELAX. What a nice feeling that is.

I haven't gotten my proofs back yet, but maybe when I do, I'll be able to re-live the excitement of the day all over again.

Yes, it does go away!

Try enjoying your life with your DH. I just love my life with him, so much more than the wedding planning.

It goes away. The only thing I wanted to do after the wedding.....was still plan the wedding. LOL. Eventually you get on with life.
