Re: dog question...
Yorkies. My IL's have a teacup yorkie. She's so little and cute. if we were to get another dog we'd probably get a yorkie

Re: dog question...
yorkies are non shedding but not hypoallergenic...if you are looking for both...all breeds of poodles are good

Poodles and Malteses ... I'm super allergic and we had a Maltese when I was younger that never bothered me (well, at least allergy-wise she never bothered me!).
i wish DH would let us get a puppy!! i want a french bulldog really bad!

Re: dog question...
My sister has a labradoodle. He doesn't really shed and he's hypoallergenic. Of course, he's the exception and is 95 lbs but they are usually smaller.
Two of my friends have cockapoos that have the poodle hair and they are fine too.
Basically, you'll be ok with a dog with hair (like a poodle) not fur.
Here's my 'nephew' Billy - he's just too cute (I couldn't resist)

Re: dog question...
DH's family, his immediate as well as his aunt, have Coton de Tulears. They're hypoallergenic and don't shed...Patty certainly is a character, so she can be a little crazy, but as a general rule they're supposed to be very good dogs, good for families, easy to train, agile, and loving. They're very close to Bichons or Havaneses.
