Doggie Dental

So I have a 3 1/2 pound Dog. He has genetic tooth funk. Now I have to get them cleaned professionally. They quoted me $541 Oh my god. I cant affrord that but he needs it. I think he has about 7 teeth in his tiny head. Thats crazy to me.
Here is my Q does anyone know where I can get this done for a lil cheeper? Maybe a different vet or a doggie dentist???? HELP

Our vet starts at $280 and then if there are extractions, it is more... it is RIDICULOUS - our dog is also tiny -8lbs.

We take her to East Side Animal Hospital on 52nd between 1st and 2nd.

Re: Doggie Dental

my vet recommends a cleaning 1x per year - my doggie will be going this year for the first time - it's abot $450.

the thing is that they have to do bloodwork because they have to use anesthesia (they gotta be knocked out for the cleaning) and b/f they do anesthesia, they have to make sure they're healthy enough etc.

its crazy. we just got pet insurance for her bc our other doggie passed away from cancer and the bills were sooooooo ... it only covers $65 for a cleaning though, lol!!!

Stacy!! call the HUMANE SOCIETY, they provide dental services and have REALLY good prices:

How to Schedule Dental Work: An initial exam is required. Call us at 212-752-4840 to schedule the appointment. Depending on the age of the pet, the Society's doctor will determine if a pre-dentistry blood test or other procedure may be necessary.

We also have doggie insurance becasue of what happened with my other dog. The bills were astronomical. We have AKC insurance with our current dog and the yearly cleanings are free.
