Kind of alot going on with DH's family and he is not taking it well, especially with his grandmother. She has been very sick most of this year and this week they have put her in the hospice again and doctors said they are giving her a week to 2 weeks to live she is DH's only living grandparent left and she took care of him as a kid all the time.
Then the day before thanksgiving we found out his aunt has breast cancer, she went today to sloan so hopefully her appointment there went well today and have some positive news for her. The worst part is that her own doctor didnt even want to test her, she said she felt a lump and he said it was probably nothing and not to worry about it but she insisted and made an appt for a mammogram which thank god she did. I am hoping since she felt a lump right away that it is in the beginning stages. The part that makes it worse is that her husband was diagonsed with MS about 2 months ago so not like he can even really take care of her during this time so its going to be hard.
Everytime MIL calls DH I get nervous that its about his grandmother. DH doesnt handle these things well, nobody does but him more so than others. Just really nervous about getting that call

I am so sorry to hear that you guys are going through this with your DH's family. I really hope that things turn out ok for his aunt.

Im so sorry about his gma!!!
His aunt was very smart for getting a mammogram anyway. Good for her for listening to her intuition. Hopefully she caught it early and can get it removed and be fully recovered!!

I'm sorry to hear..my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family! I can relate since my grandma, the one I lived with for a little as a kid isn't doing so great either :( She is out of the hospital so that is good!

Thats good news though if she is out of the hospital so hopefully she will do well

I'm so sorry to hear that..please fm me if you need to talk..I went through a very similiar situation with my grandfather (I'm sure you remember me talking about him..he passed away 3 weeks before my wedding day) My prayers are with your family

I cant even imagine what hes going through, I am sooo close to my grandmother we are so close and she took care of me too when I was young, while my mom would work. My prayers are with you and DHs family...I know its nerve wracking but maybe DH should take this time to see her more often maybe that would help him a little.
