DO....YOUUUU.....SPEAAAK.....ENGLISSH? (a little funny about my day)

i've dealt with it my entire life, but heck, whats ONE more time?

i was at the hospital with my mom all morning cause she had to get her routine endoscopy---(no worries, she's fine!) well when she was done, she came out to the waiting room and got me, and i headed back to sign some papers for her discharge, as i was the adult driving her home.

the discharge nurse sees me and says 'Are youuuu...her.....daaaaughter?' for a split second i thought perhaps they now allowed retards to be nurses, and then i realized shes one of those jackassses that thinks if you talk slooooow -- it makes you understand a foreign language better.

i said 'yes-i'm her daughter' and then she looked at my mom and instantly said, 'do you speak english?' and my mom nodded her head and said 'Yes'. the nurse STILL insisted on saying to the both of us, 'are youuuu going to need a traaanslator? we can get one?' my mother says 'No that's fine, I don't need one.' Nurse Douchewad says 'are youu sure?' and i repeated again 'no -- really we don't need one'

hey d!ckface....neither one of us is speaking to you in broken english....my mom has an accent, to me its not much of one compared to others i've heard, but to Nurse Stereotype, she must sound like a real beaner. Honestly I don't think my mother 'looks' very hispanic--true she's puerto rican. but she has hazel eyes, decently fair skin, and auburn hair. i look more like a 'fresh off the boater' than she does. (damn peruvian genes!) but once the nurse heard the last name, she must have thought 'oh lordy, one of them SPANISH folks'


my mom and i laughed all the way to the elevators as i kept saying to her 'Ju speaky da ingles?'
