Do you just bring it to any dry cleaners? What is the average cost? I bought my dress at a sample sale - and I went to a place in the city to have it cleaned - the cost was $575.00 (I don't want to pay anything near that) what do I ask for just clean and box?
Do I box the veil with the dress? What did everyone do with their veil? Thanks.
I brought my dress & veil to the place I bought it (Bonaventure in Garden City). It was $180 to clean and preserve them. Both my dress and veil are in the same box, which they say is treated and inside they are wrapped in a special muslin to keep them preserved. I can still open it and look at it if need be and it will stay preserved as long as I don`t start handling the dress (oils from the skin). I thought $180 was a great price for both dress & veil. I agree, $575 sounds like a crazy price to me. I felt more comfortable going to the bridal salon than a local dry cleaner.
have this service? See I didn't buy mine in a bridal store so do you think I could bring mine to a bridal store? I agree with you I'd prefer to go to a B. Store then to go to a local cleaners. $180 sounds fair enough.
I only got my dress cleaned at a local dry cleaner. They charged me about $150-$175. I can still open my box etc. I should put the veil in the box. Maybe the preservation (where you can't open the box) costs more than what I had done?
