All this talk about dressing reminded me that I'm going to my cousin's sweet 16 this weekend and I'm debating what to wear.
I have a dress that is ivory but has black accents on it (a vertical band). Is this ok to wear? Or is it like a wedding where you shouldn't wear white/ivory?

Im sure whatever you wear would be fine- I can't imagine a sweet 16 (outside of the tv show) being too fancy!

I think it is fine to wear a white dress with black accents to a sweet 16.
imo, it would be inappropriate to wear white to a wedding but not a sweet 16.

Hmm Yesi I think its fine-not a wedding, but where is the dress from? I have one like that so Im beign nose lol. mine has black straps-its from Ann Taylor.

You can definitley wear the ivory. If its the typical latino 'quincianera' style Sweet 16 her dress will probably be a pastel color anyway (I would bet pink or lilac)

I think ivory is fine to wear as long as you don't wear a tiara it shouldn't be a problem.
