DUET Proofs on CD?

I tried doing a search for this, but came up with nothing.

We still haven't gotten our proofs back yet, but I seem to recall them saying we'd get to keep all of our proofs and we'd get them on a CD as well. Is that still true? I called Duet and they said I'd get the CD at the end. The end of what? After my album was complete?

Yes, I was told I would get it with the proofs. Now I am told you have to wait till everything is complete.

I urge everyone to really do your homework when choosing a photographer. I am missing a lot of proofs and only have 5 from cocktail hour. I am very upset. They are looking for them. The proofs we do have our ok, nothing spetacular. I guess you pay for what you get.

Are you saying that I have to give them back when I choose the photos for the album or are you saying there are still more pics that they have that were not in the proof box I rec'd? Thanks

You do get your pics back when you pick up your album. They are your proofs so don't worry about that. Duet brides can also opt to get all your proofs on a CD. Ask for it and they'll have it ready when you pick up your albums!

Yep!! That is the way it goes!

I actually didn't realize that I could get a CD, but when I turned over my proofs I asked and they said everything would come back to me with the album!

Regarding doing your research on your photographer, I totally agree, but you are going to get positive and negatives with most of them. I loved my proofs, but they may not be every bride's taste, know what I mean??

And we don't have a ton from the cocktail hour, but I don't need a ton of pictures of people chowing down Did you take pics during the cocktail hour? THat could be why, since they photogs were with the BP.

I am SO Jealous!! We got married the same day as you and we still haven't gotten our proofs back from Duet! I called this morning and they said I should hear from them this weekend or next weekend. This Friday will already be 6 weeks!

My understanding is that we will be able to keep all of our proofs and get them on a CD. I like the CD idea, but I was under the impresion that we'd get the CD at the same time we got the proofs. That way we could send them to my MIL in Florida and she can pick out the photos that she wants. But now I'm learning that we dont get the CD until after the books are made.

I'm confused, when I picked up my proofs back In December they told me I would have to wait until the end to pick up my proofs on a CD which I was told comes with my package. When I called them a few days ago and was told I have to send them a $20 check and they will have my proofs put on to a CD.

Are they not free meaning they would be included in my package?

I know they charge $20 to put your proofs on their website for online viewing. But the CD I thought was part of their package. I can't beleive it's been 8 months since your wedding and you still don't have them on CD. Oh no! Did you get your wedding video yet (assuming you had one)?

Oh I see, in that case it was a misunderstanding between myself and Duet. Yes, we used them for our video also however we have yet to order it, we are so behind but plan on ordering it within the next couple of weeks. Our albums should be ready very soon, can't wait

Thanks! I've been patiently waiting, that's why I held off on calling. I knew it was going to take about 6 weeks for them to come in. I'm just getting anxious because I want to start my Thank Yous!

I got married in February and they said 4-5 weeks. And it was exactly 4.5 weeks.

They get their shipments in from the lab on either Tuesday or Wednesday, so calling Thursday is usually a good idea

In fact, Sue just emailed me that my enlargments are ready!

yes you will get the CD at the end of job which means when they are done with everything (just be careful one of the CDs that I got is not working, I managed to copy the pictures to my computer and then pooof cant open it again)

aww.. what you mean by the proof can't open it again? You mean it's not working.

Aga - Once you copied all the pictures to your computer, did you try to burn them to a new cd? I wonder if that would work.

How many photo CD's did they give you?

it is a DVD with pictures and I just cant open it at all to copy it... on this DVD I had all the pictures that they developed for me... I got another 3 from each of the photographers, so I still have the pictures on other CDs... I didnt even ask them about getting another CD/DVD since I still have the pictures....
