easter dinner at a restaurant...i need some suggestions..

well Newlyweds, my family normally has a large easter dinner at my mom's house.. but a couple of weeks ago her house caught on fire and she lost the entire first floor (kitchen and dining room) so she's just starting the renovations.

sooooo i'm beginning ot think that easter dinner might best be served at a nice restaurant.. any suggestions for a nice easter dinner? we've been so caught up in the house and hte fire that we didn't even notice easter crept right up on us..but i want to take my mom somewhere nice because she's really down about her house and all.

ok, if you are looking for suffolk, try Momma Lombardis, they are doing a special, but I would call b/cthey are doing seatings in a block.

Um Nassau...try any of the larger restaurants...some will be open but most likely you will have to go early

We go to a restaurant in Malverne every year for Easter, called Cork n Board.

They do have a price fixe menu, but its not a traditional thing ... no ham

i am so sorry to hear about ur mom's house my house actually caught fire my senior year of highschool & we lost EVERYTHING. it's a really scary thing..so my thoughts & prayers are with her! thank God she's okay!

I know Blackwells in wading river does a pre-fixed menu for easter... my IL's set up reservations there & i think it's only 30pp which isn't too bad! and the place is really nice I also know Three Village Inn does it(they have the easter bunny too i think?? ) - they're a little more pricey but it's a beautiful place. hmm...anything else i can come up with i'll let ya know!

I have researched all the restaurants in Suffolk County, we are going to the Miller Place Inn, we have a group of 10 and it is a buffet style set up with everything including coffee tea and desserts, but not any soda or cocktails. The price is $34.95 p.p plus tax and tip. Most of the other places are about 50.00 per head plus tax & tip. Also the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook would be nice, and Danfords in Port Jefferson has any amazing Easter Brunch, we had Our Easter meal there last year. Check out all of there websites, when you go into them go to special events and the easter menu comes up. Make sure you call ASAP if you want reservations, as a lot of places are fully booked already. Good Luck with you choice and Happy Early Easter

I know the Westbury Manor does a big thing for Easter. So does The Parkwood in West Islip and I think LaGrange also.

Sorry to hear about your mom's house!

If you're looking in Suffolk, I think the Watermill Inn does a fixed-price dinner for all holidays. I've been there for Thanksgiving many years ago, and it was very nice. Also, the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook is very nice.

Sorry to ehar about the fire.

I unfortunately don't know of many plaecs in LI but I know at Charlie Browns (chain but GOOD!) they have special Easter menus and its affordable. DH and I go there alot for our nicer dinners out because he is a steak eater and I love their huge salad bar.
