Easter Egg question

Easter Egg question

We colored Easter eggs last weekend with DH's daughter. We left them on the counter overnight by accident and then put them in the refrigerator in the morning. Dh doesn't think they're ok to eat, but after seeing the Easter bread with the eggs that someone posted earlier, I remember eating that as a kid. I don't think the bread with the eggs is always refrigerated??? I'm hungry and I really want to eat one!

Re: Easter Egg question

I personally wouldn't. There are many articles I have read in the past about eggs and food safety. Sorry hun. :(

I got this from this article:

Health officials caution that hard-boiled eggs that have gone unrefrigerated for over two hours, are cracked, or colored with harmful dyes, can pose serious health hazards to children — and parents — who eat them.

Re: Easter Egg question

lol your welcome.

I say, if something doesn't seem right, toss it. I have milk in the refrigerator that says 'April 10th' , but it just smelled a bit too funky for me this morning, so I tossed it. I wouldn't chance things like dairy or meat.
