embarrassing wifey story

okay, lets share...what is what thing you have done so far as a 'wife' that you have been embarrased about

ill go...yesterday i made dinner for both of us

pasta primavera in red sauce

so usually when you make pasta, you boil the water then toss in the pasta, right?

well i wasnt thinking and filled up the pot with the box of pasta and the water...turned on the stove. then realized, 'hmm...this might not boil now....'

so i waited for it to boil...stirring the pasta...finally it seemed tender (def, not al dente, whoops), so i stopped the stove. kept the lid on (another whoops) while i was making the sauce

OMG. by the time i poured the water out, the pasta was GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

it was like starch pudding. soooo groossss

but i still mixed it w the sauce (sauce was good at least). JP said he would eat it anyway and he was sure it wasnt that bad

so i covered it w Parmesan cheese to help

wow. it was bad. how can i mess up pasta?

so embarrasing.

JP offered to take the leftovers to work and said he would eat it. but i couldnt let him do that, in fear that someone would ask 'what is that?!'

i once did something similar .... i was on the phone with my mom who was confusing me about how to make the perfect pasta ... she said 'put enough water in the pot to cover hte pasta' ... so i put the pasta in and then the water ... then was stuck

not sure if i've done anything overly stupid as a wifey though ... yet

This morning, yep just today, I fell in the shower. Ouch. Don't even ask how. DH didn't even wake up. Than I came out of the shopwer screaming that I don't want to have children with him if he can't wake up for his wife screaming from the bathroom floor.

OMG I just literally laughed out loud on the train! very very good story!

WRT Pasta, when it boils, just start a timer for however long you would boil it, drain it right away and then rinse with some cold tap water and you will be ok.
