engagement picture session

I feel kind of disappointed lately when I see friends and co-workers engagement picture 'sessions'. When I had mine back in Sept. We did not go to a location but rather had them taken in the studio. They came out great, I'm not complaining. Its just that most everyone I know had a day of pictures taken at central park, south street seaport, etc. And they have them all posted on-line. My photographer was great, I was just wondering why they don't do this - maybe I was supposed to ask them??? But if this is the 'new thing', wouldn't they just do it???

My photographer 'session' is in the studio. I think you can request going outdoors if you'd like. I'm not an 'outdorsy' type person so I don't mind.

I think its up to you to ask them to be taken outside. We didnt even have engagement pictures nor could we afford a video......so enjoy what you have girl! I bet they are just georgeous!!!

Mine were taken in the studio too. I didn't know if I could request them to be taken somewhere else. It's a good thing we took them inside, because knowing us, the day we choose would have been hot, and we would have both been sweating.

At least we were nice and cool in the studio. I'm happy with my shots, but sure, I would have loved something a little less formal.
