Engagement Shoot Locations for April?

Hi Girls!
I was wondering if anyone has Long Island based engagement photo locations suggestions?

I am not from LI so not familiar with the area. We are looking for some kind of a park/nature/greenery with perhaps a few spring flowers blooming? Any suggestions?

Also any suggestions as to what to wear?

Why dont you go to NYC or Brooklyn for the shoot?

Stef, I would, but the freebie/giveaway shoot includes any location of choice on LI. I am trying to avoid the travel fee on this one!

Oh ok.

I dont really know much about LI so I cant help but Im sure there are some nice options.

My one word of warning would be that depending on the kind of winter/spring we have, there may be no flowers out in early April.

Hofstra University has a Tulip Festival (I think it is in April) The campus looks beautiful when they are all planted.

Jen, thank you for suggesting Hoftra, the tulips are coming in early May this year, a week later than when I need them!!! But it was a great suggestion.

I agree with Sonicstef - I don't think much will be in bloom in April. I took my engagement pictures last April at Sunken Meadow on the beach and they came out nice - I was freezing though.

We had ours at CW Post in Brookville in September. The campus was beautiful and we got some awesome shots (plus its free which is a plus). We dream was to have them at Rockefeller Center at X-Mas but we didn't plan it out right.

How about Old Westbury Gardens -- it's gorgeous for picture taking.
