... BIL's little friend keeps trying to talk to me (hes 12)... I just put my profile back online after having it offline for like 2 months lol this kid is the sole reason that i went offline... lol he messages me everyday... hes so annoying...

You can 'go offline' with the IM or chat feature only. It will not affect any other part of your facebook.
