Farewell Address

Farewell Address

Is anyone else tearing up from this? Or is it just me? I am not a bush supporter, but I just think its a really touching speech. =D

I thought it was a great speech. There was a lot of things that people disagreed with during his presidency (myself included) but he has kept us safe. The part that got to me the most was when he said how for the rest of us our lives slowly went back to normal after 9/11 but his never did. I am definitely getting his book when it comes out.

I honestly didnt even turn it on. I am glad that we are moving on to someone new. In my opinion 8 years is a long term for anyone.

I mean, some parts of the speech were very touching. But, after sitting here and thinking about it, some parts still bug me. Ahh..I waas about to go off on a tangent, but I will keep my mouth shut lol Politics were never a strong topic for me anyway lol

Its friday go for it!!! Trust me I am just gullible as I was sitting there aww'ing DH was telling me 'Babe he just has a great speech writer, dont fall for it'.

Yeah, after the election was over he mentioned somewhere that he was going to write a book about why he made the decisions that he did. He was saying everyone always blamed him and he wishes people could understand why he had to make the choices he did.

Totally agree with this.

When he mentioned that part I said, o yeah he DID keep us safe since 9/11 and for that we should thank him for his service. I thought his speech was very classy. And of course, as an American I am wishing and hoping for the best for our new President.
