If you have clothes that you wish you could fit into but can't what did you do with them?
Am I the only who keeps 'someday' pants?
I feel like such a hypocrite because anything that Bobby has not worn in the past year I tell him to give away but I on the other hand have pants I haven't worn in three years. Some of them are new and still have the tags on them .
I wish I didn't decide to clean the basement last night it depressed me . I wish i didn't think it would be a great idea to make a pile of clothes that don't fit me. 3 feet has never looked so tall .
On a side note I can't wait for lunch .

I sometimes keep one item I loved from the skinnier days in hopes of wearing it again...and chuck the rest along with the guilt that they no longer fit!

I'll keep things in the next size down from what I am now that I hope to wear again. If it is something I know I don't like anymore I get rid of it.

I totally do that too - I have some 'fat clothes' in my closet, some 'skinny me' clothes, and some 'this is where I'm at now' clothes. So this of course leads to the inevitable, 'what will I wear today???' question every single morning.

Re: Fat Boy In a Little Coat
I struggle with my fat guy in a little coat feeling at least once a week when I squeeze into pants that I can't even button at the waist and I have kept so many clothes that are a size 4 when now even my 6's are getting tight and yes I can't wait for lunch either!

Don't worry - you're in good company.
I have a pair of Levis from 14 years ago that I just REFUSE to part with. I also have an entire storage box (or two) full of skirts/pants that are now too small for me to wear but too nice to part with.
Oh, and I already ate my lunch two hours ago- FOR BREAKFAST because I am that disgusting !!!

Oh your a biotch bringing up single digit numbers in my time of need I wish a 6 was just a bit tight on me I can't even get them past my ankles, I know because I tried last night. They are a distant memory of 5 years ago.
The part that really upsets me is all my small clothes are really good quality, expensive clothes. My large clothes are all from Target, Kohl's and Marshalls because I didn't think we would be long term friends .

I do this too I had a pair of pants that fit me only after a 4 day stomach virus I haven't worn them since I have been feeling better.
I don't ask 'what will I wear today' I ask myself 'what will fit today.'

Funny you should bring this up today. I was so happy that I could fit into my denim capris from last summer that I forgot to check if i could DO anything in them like SIT or BREATHE so currently I am sitting at my desk with my pants unbuttoned hoping that I remember to button them before I stand up

well its my work pants I'm thinking of....which a NY&Co. 4, is probably more like a 6, so I think my 'old' size is even further away than I thought and the butt's in my family are our biggest ASSet, so I'm just worried that by the time I have kids my hips will really be out of control even my mom, she's like 105 pds soaking wet, but she's a 'pear bottom' all the way

Get a rubber band and loop it through the button hole then put the other end around the button. I know this just because it's not like I ever had to do this or anything.

Re: Fat Boy In a Little Coat
I haven't buttoned or zippered anything in 4+ months and I don't think I'm going back.
My maternity wardrobe is so comfy that I'm considering keeping everything and just calling it FATernity wear after . When not PG my closet has sizes 10 thru 14, and I wear all of them depending on where I fall on the fat/skinny trajectory on any given day.
I too have regularly collected a 3 ft pile of clothes I will never wear again, some with tags, and the only way they LEAVE the house is when I convince myself that a) someone NEEDS those clothes and/or b) I'm not giving it away because I'm fat, I'm giving it away because I don't LIKE it anymore.
