*****FATHER'S DAY NWQOTD*****

Sorry so late ladies. We just got home from a busy day. First went to the cemetary for my dad and then had Deacon's mom and stepdad over. Then, we went to the cemetary for Bruce my stepdad and then spent the day with my stepbrother.

Just got in and we are pooped!!!

I hope everyone had a nice Father's Day. I have to say, I personally do not enjoy this day. But.... on a lighter note.

What is a favorite memory you have with your dad????

My favorite memory of my Dad is from when I was about 5 (he died when I was six).

We were having this carnival at school and the parents were in charge of the games. No one was coming over to our table. We had a weird boring game and I was bummed.

My dad was pized so all of the sudden in the middle of the gym, he yelled.....TWO PRIZES!!!! COME ON EVERYONE, IF YOU WIN YOU GET TWO PRIZES!!!!

and then all the kids in the gym ran over to our table!!! it was so funny!!!! I will never forget it!!! He always did stuff like that for me. he defnitately was the life of the party!!!!

My favorite memory of Bruce is from our wedding day, we were dancing and he was just crying like a baby. He went on and on about how much he loves deacon and me, and that he loves me like I was his own. I totally tried to make him stop, because I he just couldn't stop crying and he was freaking me out!!! I get uncomfortable when people get mushy. But looking back, I am glad he got to say those things to me. I will never forget the look on his face.

I have sooo many, he was the GREATEST dad, we were always excited to see him come home from work. He did everything with and for us.
I loved when my dad at chicken livers and turned into the chicken liver monster and chased us around the house, dont ask,
Another is when he used to make tents for us with sheets either in our bedrrom or living room and would sleep with us that night.
He was a big kid and things were just soo much fun with him.
We had soo many vacations together.
Christmases were big memories too. Also my father tape every thing in our lives.
I miss him

My favorite is a toss up between two different ones.

1. One Christmas when I was around 3 (or some other winter holiday, I can't remember) it snowed a lot and my dad took me out sleigh riding just the two of us at this park near where our apartment was back then. Since it was a holiday no one else was out except us, so it was really nice to do something fun just the two of us.

2. When we lived in Westchester sometimes my dad would take me to the local deli and we'd get lots of junk food (like cookies, and donuts, and chocolate milk and stuff) and we'd sit on the very edge of the dock (like almost in the water) in his car and watch thunderstorms, or the sun set on the Hudson River. And one time when we were there a police officer came up and knocked on the window. He probably thought we were going to drive off into the river or something Boy was he surprised when my dad rolled down the window and he had a big donut in his mouth.

EVERYTHING! My daddy is THE BEST!

1. Him walking me down the Aisle
2. Dancing with him at the reception
3. Driving me to dance everyday
4. That he showed up at 6am to my college graduation b/c he didn't want to be late...it started at 11:30
5. Driving me to and from high school (in manhattan) EVERY SINGLE day for 4 years.
6. Him surprising me with my fav chocolates from Bloomingdales
7. Every Christmas when we would put all the toys together and take out all the silver twistiesfrom the Barbies


I could go on and on and on

The best moment for me was the day of my wedding...when I pulled up to the ceremony and saw him standing there...I started crying. He looked so handsome. I had NEVER seen him dressed up like that, ever. And it was the best day of my life

This is a really stupid memory! but it always sticks out in my head, cuz i still do it!!

well we had 'tea time' when i was little (and i think we only did this one time thats why its so funny that i remember) but anywho we had tea time and my dad always told me that when i drink tea i have to stick out my pinky....

well guess what! everything i drink to this day my pinky is sticking out! LOL

I don't enjoy this day much either.

So many. Like him carrying me onhis shoulders at the belmont stakes fairs. Or him playing shark in teh swimming pool. Or him takin gus all to the knicks games. He is great daddy im very lucky!
