FIL news....
Sorry I haven't been around much....
If you remember, my perfectly healthy, Gold's gym member, non-smoking, non drinking 56 year old FIL had a massive heart attack in July. He has been at a hospital in the cardiac ICU ever since awaiting a heart transplant.
Sadly, they don't think he'll live long enough to see his donor heart. He has been taken off the transplant list because his body is failing.
He has something called Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome which is a complication from his heart attack & subsequent pneumonia. They told us Saturday that he probably wouldn't survive the night. He did, but its not going well. They think he'll die this week.
I feel SO AWFUL for my MIL & DH & his family. It has been 6 weeks of torture for them. I think we are truly coming to the end and it is heartbreaking.![]()
