Finally got a compliment from my inlaws!

I'm sure most of you remember the drama that occured with my DH's cousin. Anyway, the majority of my inlaws never really complimented anything about our wedding. We figured it was because of the drama with that cousin (bridesmaid).

But, my mom also felt like they didn't enjoy anything because they never even spoke to her. (Turns out, for another family wedding, one of DH's aunts ordered the same gown that my mother wore to our wedding!)

Anyway, we were with my in-laws for New Year's eve and his other aunt said,

'I don't think I ever mentioned this to you, but your wedding reception was the nicest reception I have EVER been to!'

I thought I was going to pass out when I found out that she said that! Never ONCE did this group of people say anything NICE about our big day! (they wrote a nice message in our guest book about it being a great wedding, but they never SAID a word until the other day!) Then, they started talking about how beautiful our centerpieces were!

Maybe it came up because I gave them all photos and DVDs of the wedding as XMAS gifts. And, they enjoyed them all very much- some pictures were already hanging up when we got there!

That is good to hear for you. But they should of been saying that the wedding.
